Lapis Lazuli, Pyrite and Turquoise - Peace, Positive Energy and Clear Communication These natural Lapis Lazuli make a beautiful mala and I have hand knotted them on to a strong burgundy braided thread, which improves the life of the mala and gives a lovely feel in the hand as you count your mantras. There are pyrite beads placed after each set of 27 beads, to act as marker beads. They act as a gentle reminder if our mind wanders a little, bringing the focus back to the meditation and encouraging a deeper connection. The Guru bead set is made from Turquoise from Tibet. These 6mm beads make for a very light mala and is perfect for wearing as a necklace. The sliding closure makes this mala very easy to wear on your wrist and will wrap 5 to 6 times around most wrists. Simply pull the sliding knot away from the guru bead down towards the string ends, opening the mala to its fullest length. Wrap it around your wrist, sometimes you may need to "roll" the beads over your hand, depending on your wrist size. Once it is around your wrist, simply slide the moving knot back down towards the guru bead, to cinch it. Do not force the mala to make an additional wrap, you risk breaking the mala over time. Please select whether you would like to wear this as a necklace (I will keep teh tail end short), or have it fitted to your wrist. Please don't add anything extra to your wrist measure, if you'd like to wear it loosely, there is always room to slacked it off. If you don't have a flexible tape measure, you can use a piece of string to measure your wrist and then measure the string on a normal ruler. Please note, the Lapis that I use is not dyed, but in its natural form, this means that there are small inclusions of pyrite and/or white calcite in the beads. I think this adds to the beauty!
