RioRand PWM DC Motor Speed Controller – 6V-28V 3A Reversible Speed Regulator with Forward/Reverse Switch for Low Voltage Brushed DC Gear Motors, Hobby & Small Automation Projects

Got this little speed control to use in my senior design project. I needed to control the speed of a drum winding up wire. I used it on a 12Vdc 5 rom motor and it worked out great. It does forward and reverse and can be turned off by the switch or by turning the potentiometer to zero where it clicks off. If you turn it all the down it does still draw a very small amount of current fyi. It’s pretty decent for its small size. It doesn’t come with instructions but you won’t need them. I think for the price it’s a good value. I’m didn’t check the output with a scope because I didn’t need to it worked flawlessly.

Does not over heat or anything the product was made to perform nice compact size easy to install no high pitched noise pushing 24 volts with no issues easy to customize and full functionality and power is up there too

Second one work like a charm first one did have some loose solder joints on it I think cuz that solder inside of it I returned it got a second one which worked fine Great for my fan on my RV to adjust the speed and change the direction

This is a nice circuit board and does the job. However it is not as pictured. The one that I got does not have the forward and revers switch. It you read the description carefully it mentions that you might get an older version that does not have the switch but that you can request the newer version. I can not see a way to do that. I don't want to send this unit back because it works and does what I need it to do but it is not what I expected based on the picture. It would have been nice if they would have just sent the one that was shown and described.

Works great for converting a train to battery power

I bought two of these at the same time for a small gauge train layout. They each worked for about a day before they gave up the ghost. When turning on, it will go about half way and then the led will start blinking. I'm not running too many amps or volts through it. All connections are secure and correct.

I got this to build out a small tumbling machine. This works great to add a motor to and control speed. Easy to add the wires and small and simple enough to place in a project box. I have no issues with this speed controller.

Great speed controller worked great for my Halloween prop. Would definitely recommend buying well constructed with a switch built in which was the added bonus for me. It does have the board exposed which wasn't a problem for me as I was able to enclose it into a little container but keep that in mind. It is totally exposed and does not have any protection so you will have to mount it either on something that is only going to be used indoors or you will have to make some sort of container for it but definitely happy with it
