Everything about this "spatula" is heavy duty and well built, except for the stickers on the handle with the FireDisc branding. The adhesive for the sticker does not bond with the rubber grip. The result is the adhesive will continuously get all over your hands making your hands extremely sticky. If you're wearing gloves it can ruin them. The adhesive also will not dry, so you're forced to slowly remove it over time. It took me a while but I finally got all the adhesive off the item.I don't recommend buying this unless you have a FireDisc cooker. I thought I could use it as a regular spatula, but the curvature of the scoop doesn't work well with a traditional grill cooktop. It's designed for the slightly convex cooktop of the FireDisc. Instead, I've started to use it to move coals around on my Webber kettle. The hot coals remove the stainless steel treatment making it look rusty, but I'm not concerned since I won't be letting this tool touch food.

This is quite an unexpected tool for cooking. The handle has recessed red badges that are glued together. The glue never dries and leaks out onto the handle while you were trying to use it. The glue never stops oozing out and you can't completely clean it off. Over time more will leak out and the handle is always sticky. If that's not enough whenever you wash it it's not sealed so water drips all the time even when you think that it's done dripping. The tool itself does what it says it will do but I really hate having sticky feelings on my hands and getting that sticky stop on every other thing I touch.

Fire Disc ought to be embarrassed by the lack of quality control of this product. As commented by numerous other posts, this product’s grip leaks glue; no a little, but a lot. Right out of the package this is the first thing you notice when you take hold of the grip. It only gets worse with use. I ordered this product after reading all the other posts commenting on this issue. My thought was it couldn’t be that bad. Trust me it is. Shame on Fire Disc for not correcting this lingering issue. Look elsewhere, there are less expensive options available.

The spatula works well, but I wouldnt say it is significantly better than other spatulas I use. If anything, the spatula with the 36" deep disc is almost too long. I assume it would work better with the 24" stand. However, none of that matters because the excessive adhesive on the handles is a huge turn off. Would not recommend this product and based on the reviews (I ignored), I would not purchase again.

I like the wok style for cleaning and maintaining my woodstove. This has a hefty handle and length to reach to back of stove and pull the ash, coals forward.It handles what I give it, comes out of wood box looking great. Using it many times a day.

Nice spatula, but like others said the adhesive they put on the handle leaks all over the place. I wound up covering mine with 2 inch heat shrink tubing to fix it.

I was looking for a big spatula to use with my discada (cowboy wok). This was the only one I could find that didn’t look like cheap Chinese junk. I read the reviews about the sticking handle and wasn’t worried. Well to my surprise, it looks like they redesigned the handle and fixed the sticky issues. They also added a bottle opener. 5 Stars

The Quality of is Great! It is big and bulky but i feel its perfect for me it is very well built and long enough that you dont feel that heat on your hands that is more for when i step away and ask wife of daughters to move food around for me.the bottle opener/hook for hanging is awesome as well. Again for me this is a Great buy hope it works for anyone who buys as well.
