This United States scratch off map from travelbugco is awesome! It came in the mail this week and I opened it immediately. It comes in a sturdy tube, so damage during shipping is highly unlikely. In addition to the packaging being sturdy, it’s also cute. If you’re giving this map as a gift, all you need to do is throw on a bow and you’re good to go. No decorative wrapping paper needed!The map itself is a great size; not too big that it will overpower a room, but not too small that guests won’t notice it when they come over. It’s a beautiful conversation piece (read: brag about your trips) and it makes me want to travel more so I can scratch off more states and see the fun colors underneath. The package includes a small plastic guitar-pick looking tool to help you scratch off the top layer. It is really handy for the smaller states (if you care about precision), but spare change works just as well and might be faster when scratching off larger states. Overall, this is a great product and now that I see how high the quality is in person, I would definitely recommend giving it as a gift in the future.Also - If you enjoy doing scratch tickets, but don’t want to deal with the fact that you likely wasted money, then this product is for you :)

Great product. This scratch off map is just the right size and scope for someone who may still love to travel but wouldn't be able to enjoy scratching off as many places on a global map! The packaging of this was beautiful - the hard tube comes with a postcard like exterior print on the wrap so you can "address" the map as a gift. The map itself is glossy and clean, and even the copper coating looks nice, which means you don't have to wait to travel to have something nice to hang up! The coating easily scratches off smoothly with the included plastic pick, and the colors underneath are also a very nice blend of colors, especially contrasted with the unscratched foil. The ink printed on the map doesn't rub off or flake, and the fonts chosen make for a cute and hip map. I appreciate this map over others I've seen for its convenient size, particular focus, and thoughtfully chosen design (colors, font, message, packaging). Would highly recommend either as a personal motivator for travel or as a gift for any friend!

We bought this for our pin daughter to keep track over the years all the places we travel to. I love the map and the print underneath the scratch off. My only complaint is the travel bug logo in the bottom right corner - who wants a logo on something you are hanging as decoration?

This is cute. Easy to scratch off. Clean. Colorful. All my guest see it on the wall as it pops out at you. Great price, great quality.

I really love the idea of this map! Its a good size and the watercolors underneath are really pretty. It did come with a few scratches on a couple of the states that I haven’t visited yet and when I started scratching off the gold foil I noticed that it doesn’t line up with the print underneath. It doesn’t look too bad from far away but being someone who likes things nice and neat it was a disappointment.

We did a cross country move this summer and our 2yr old went through LOTS of states. We decided to start the map! It is now on his wall and looks super cute and he gets lots of compliments. We had fun scratching the states off too. Someday he will enjoy scratching off his own states. I think we will buy this for his cousin for Christmas who doesn't need more toys.

I received this in the mail quickly and in intact packaging. I've framed it but we have not scratched any of the coverings off (it's a Christmas gift). So far it's as described and I think my husband will really enjoy it! I'll update if we have problems with the scratch off.Just a note, be very careful when placing it in the frame. I accidentally scratched a very small line through one of the states. Totally my fault, but if I had to do it over again I'd let it lie flat for awhile before attempting to frame.

I love the vibrant colors on this map! I purchased one for my first daughter and then a second for my next! The state lines are a bit detailed so it’s difficult to be exact in scratching - if you care about that it would be tricky. Make sure to use a flat coin like a nickel to scratch off instead of a quarter or dime so it doesn’t leave little scratches on the paper.
