I made the mistake of using it without an intake filter. In clear water it worked really well and silently, but once it hit silt, it started squealing and then suddenly stopped. Apparently a small pebble got wedged between the rotor and the rotor housing, snapping the thin ceramic rod on which the rotor was spinning (=ceramic sleeve bearing). And the squealing must have been when the silt got into the ceramic bearing. This is basically for clear water only.

I ordered on July 16. Received today August 5. The package came from China. This is a good product if you don't mind waiting for it. Maybe I missed something, I didn't see any notification in the product page stating that it was coming from overseas.

works great when it works ,but it only will pump clean water.you need a super good inlet filter.

Impractical when all ponds require a longer cord. The idea is to eliminate electrical junction(s)wherever possible. However, this model needs an extra electrical junction, inviting a short. I'dreturn it if there was no hassle. But we know how that works.

I replaced a hoshizaki water pump with this item and a dc converter works perfect better then factory nice and quite.

This is an awsome little pump. Low amp draw under load. Strong water pressure.

Great for use in a pond filter box with a fountain

The pump stopped working after a week of being placed in the water , it is not meant to be submerged as it was indicted.
