works for me
funny, worked very well on high end knifes, but when I went to sharpen a blade on a multi-tool, It didn't do a thing? all in all, i'm happy with the results.

Great for the kitchen
Great sharpener, excellent price. I thought I needed new knives, but the ones I had just needed to be sharpened. Be sure to read instructions on how to use (one direction only, don't saw back and forth)

works great on steel knives
Did not sharpen my ceramic knife at all, works great on steel knives, but I already had a great steel sharpener and bought this exclusively to sharpen my ceramic knives. Major fail in that department.

Did nothing for several knives of varying quality and dullness before using this sharpener.

Does the job
Originally bought this to sharpen a ceramic knife and ended sharpening most of the knives in the house. While the manufacturer says three passes should do I found that this was unrealistic. I guess it depends on how dull the knife is. Either way it sharpens well enough for me and I like that it can be separated from the handle to be washed or anything.
