It comes with an alken wrench but why?

The included allen wrench happens to fit the 4 laser directional adjustment screws. These 4 setscrews are located under the adhesive label attached to the bore sighter at the end where the laser comes out. I can't imagine any way to re-calibrate that laser any closer to perfect than it already is. In my opinion, that allen wrench should never have been included in this kit. All you can do is misadjust the laser so badly you will be forced into getting a properly adjusted replacement laser. I do not have the necessary optical fixturing to properly and accurately verify this laser is perfectly adjusted, so I'm certainly not going to (foolishly) try. Best of luck to you if you try.

Will this work with a M1A Springfield 308/7.62x51

Yes, it's long enough to fit into the barrel with the stock flash suppressor on my Springfield M1a Standard.
