The REAL DEAL - From Native Son of Kirinyaga
After discovering KETEPA on here I have ordered 3 times and I am ordering more as we speak. Who are these people giving 1 star??!!?? I know KETEPA - acronym for KEnya TEa PAckers. Years ago I picked tea on my late grandma's farm in Kirinyaga on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. I know my tea. At the time we drank "Brooke Bond Green Label Tea" and Grandma would always a full pot of it at the stone hearth - before the days of tea bags in Kenya. Yes and before KETEPA. I know my Kenyan tea. Also - I highly highly recommend TWO TEA BAGS per cup of tea for the OOMPH! Especially if you are taking with approx. 40% whole milk 60% water mixture (called "Nylon" in Kenya). Make sure the Nylon boils first. The taste is way way different if you don't let the Nylon come to complete boil. And please, please place tea bags right after Nylon has come to full boil. Not before, and do not wait more than 2 minutes after.Another fact. Tea made with Nylon boiled on the stove tastes better than boiled in the microwave. But the convenience of the microwave has me using it a lot more than the stove. It still tastes great. The packaging does have some tea powder that escapes from the tea bags and is between the carton box and shrink wrap because the individual tea bags are stacked with no covering in the box. I would suggest KETEPA enclose the 100 tea bag contents in one or two or four bag enclosures (so the count of tea bags is uniform) maybe in ziploc mylar bags? or shrink wrap? Then put into the carton box, then shrink wrap for sale. This way they look a lot more presentable and not "jua kali". So I could have notched off a quarter star rating for this minor issue. However, I maintain my 5 star as I cannot argue with the tea quality and quantity. Thank you for making this available!!!!

Rich and deep taste.

Good tea
Having been to Kenya and having seen the tea plantations I was looking forward to receiving this tea. It’s great tea. I do frequently use two bags for a stronger flavor. Price is great, too

My first encounter with keeps tea was on an overseas trip
I don’t drink any other tea, period. This is the finest! No cloudiness, when it’s iced, no bitterness when it’s hot, even if I get busy and have to nuke it cause it went cold. For literal years, I had friends from Kenya bring it for me when they came to visit, now that it’s available on line, I Never ever run out!
