It always bugs me to see the curtain rod when curtains are open, maybe because curtains are to soften a space and a long metal rod, not so much. But hanging a separate rod for a valence or making a padded wooden box and mounting it on the wall, and buying extra curtains to make the valence -- big project, big expense. Never heard of a "window scarf," saw this while browsing for curtains. I hung it with less droop than in the picture, just enough to cover the rod, so it looks more contemporary and less "Grannie's living room." I got 216" orange to put over 63" red curtains, colors in my new bedspread, and it looks custom and hangs even with the curtains, framing them like a theater proscenium. Took like 30 seconds. I'm gonna scarf all my windows now.

Very plain, simple, snowy white window scarves! They ironed up easily and have a nice soft, floaty look to them when hung. I needed something for the double windows in my living room that let in plenty of light since the windows open on to a screened in patio room that minimizes the light entering the room. I only got the scarves so I wouldn't block the light from the windows.

The material and look is exactly what we were looking for. The only reason I downed it one star was that the coloring wasn't exactly a charcoal (in my opinion). We have just painted our room a very light gray and were looking for a darker charcoal color for the scarves. Looking in all different lighting, these have a greenish hue to them more than a charcoal hue. We debated before taking out of package of returning, but decided to put them up first. Although the color isn't really what we would say charcoal would be, they are very pretty and still enhanced our window and our room. We will probably purchase more for our living room in a different color.

Fell in love with the picture description of this valance; however, I didn’t pay attention to the measurements because it ended up being too short for my window. The ivory was more yellowish than whitish, and it just didn’t match the look I was going for. Ended up returning it. The fabric is really good quality though and shiny. Definitely worth $20.

The color is a little bit more like a green-gray than a charcoal gray which is what it looks like in the picture. But for my deco purposes, it is beautiful. very pleased with the way it turned out.

I ordered the beige color swag. The color is not beige. It is more of a cream or off white. It does not match my curtains and so I am returning. I did email the seller as an earlier email asked me to if I found anything wrong with the product prior to leaving a bad or not so good review. They never responded.

I used these as the classic "swoop valance" look over some other light filtering curtains. They are perfect, good quality. I couldn't find anything like it in the stores like Target or Walmart and I didn't want to spend a lot of money either.
