the sash is 3.5" wide. I used my Cricut to cut out 2.25" letters in glitter heat treat vinyl. I was worried about melting the sash when applying the vinyl, but it worked PERFECTLY! The sash is basically a very wide piece of ribbon and held up to the heat. Color was exactly as pictured. I'd buy again!
