Blue Sky Professional Padfolio, 5" x 8", Textured Faux Leather Cover, Black, Paper Notepad Included

This padfolio is exactly what I was looking for to protect one of the smallish notepads and keep it looking professional. In that regard, it does the trick quite well. The construction is quite good, but I imagine the type of leather is the kind that will eventually peel apart, but for the excellent price this is pretty much what I expect. I think it will hold up for several years, treated well. My only real complaint is that it can't quite easily fit a folded sheet of Letter paper, so I wish it were just a bit wider in the pocket. But, this is the tradeoff for using a small pad (I feel with a laptop, the bigger pads are too bulky and unnecessary. I will also say this works great as a makeshift mousepad; many times I kept it to the side and used it in that capacity as well!

Nice little padfolio, feels very professional. It is about the same size as an iPad Mini in a case. The stock Blue Sky notepad was falling apart already for some reason, so I immediately recycled it and replaced with an Ampad Jr. Notepad, College/Medium Ruled, 50 Sheets, White, 5" x 8", 12 per Pack (20-364).Small complaint: I was hoping the cover would be able to fold completely around for one-handed use, but it doesn't appear to be designed for this. You can do it, but it does not reverse fold evenly. Also the pen loop is too tight for my Pilot G2 Retractable Premium Gel Ink Roller Ball Pens, Fine Pt, Dozen Box, Black with the rubber grip, so I just clip the pen inside the cover crease and it stays fine. I'm sure smooth pens would work fine with the loop, but I like keeping mine tucked away where it doesn't flop around anyway.

I love this binder & for the price, you cannot beat it. Several have asked, so I wanted to clarify; it does sit flat after opening it a few times. I didn't need to set a weight or anything on it for hours on end to get it "sit right" or anything like that, it did it on it's own. I had been looking for a decent, slick binder, but don't like the bigger note pads, I prefer the 8" x 5" pads. So when I found this one for under $10, I took a shot. I'm glad I did, because I was not disappointed. I am able to store the completed pages in the convenient holder on the left hand side & keep a few business cards handy. It also has a pen/pencil holder, which was just an added bonus. Absolutely, would recommend if you have the same needs, great quality.

Pros: The cover seems quite supple, so not anticipating it cracking any time soon. It looks fairly professional (not cheap), has an inside pocket, business card slot and a loop for a pen.Cons: It really needs to be a half inch wider. The pen loop is on the outside edge, not the center hinge and it flops (outside) the edges of the folio. The other issue is that it is not quite wide enough to hold an 8.5x11 inch piece of paper folded in half in the interior pocket, without bending in the hinge. Again if it was another half inch wider it would be perfect.Neither of the cons are a show stopper for me, but will look for a better design next time.

Great size to fit in my messenger bag and has a nice space for folded papers. Note: this will not hide a folded-in-half 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper like someone indicated that it would in the questions section. Not a deal-breaker but it will stick out of the top about 1/4". I love the stitching in it, gives it a classy look.

I was kind of astonished when I removed this from its package to find that the quality and look and feel of it is so nice for the price. I hope it holds up to use as well as it appears that it will. Time will tell. But for now I'm not only happy with my purchase but very impressed.The only problem so far is that the notepad that came with it is of inferior quality. But I have plenty of better ones on hand, which is why I bought this.

I had been looking for a replacement for my little black book for awhile now, I am happy to say this was the perfect replacement! The price was great the quality was better and I am one happy customer. This is made ten times better than my last one was. It is the perfect size and exactly what I was looking for.

Needs a heavier backing. Can't write on while holding.

Work great I just wish the strap to hold your pen was on the inside in the middle. It being on the outside allows it to gets hit and fall out.

It looks good at first glance and does hold the notepad, but the side pocket is hot glued together, won't fit a piece of folded paper inside of portfolio because of the glue stopping the paper from sitting donw in the pocket.
