Using this as my outdoor patio paper towel holder and it's held up well. The wood grain has faded a bit with water but I left it outside too long so my fault. It's very sturdy and won't tip over when you grab a new sheet.

The media could not be loaded. So, they aren't lying about the "one hand pull and tear." I made a video to show how this works. It does exactly what they say it does. I'm not sure how, but the roll advances as you pull the sheet and then automatically tears off. Every time. I'm using super economy basic paper towels, so nothing thick or substantial, and it still works perfectly. Win.The holder is made of stainless steel with bamboo trim. Yes, it's actually real bamboo and not printed decorative paper that merely looks like bamboo. The bottom is weighted and has a non-skid layer. The weight is heavy enough that the roll won't move when you grab the paper towels. The top decorative part of the roll holder can be unscrewed. I don't know why you'd need to do this, maybe if your roll had a narrow tube diameter. My rolls fit over this portion without needing to unscrew it.The base is annoyingly wide/ has a big footprint/ takes up space, but that also means it can hold an extra large paper towel roll if you need to. For the current price of $30, this seems like a solid and fairly priced piece of kitchen equipment.

The most important criteria for me is if a standard roll would slide over this without any disassembly. It does! So I have been using this for a week and I like it. It is heavier and sturdy so even if you yank on towels, they won't unwind too many. But it's not hard to pull a few off the roll either. It's just right. It actually clicks as you pull which I find rather charming for some reason instead of annoying. The base is tall compared to other holders I've used, at least an inch or more tall. It looks nice and although I don't use a lot of natural wood finishes in my kitchen, this blends into my white kitchen pretty well. I like that the stainless steel is spot resistant from what I can see so far, too. This is a very nice paper towel holder and a definite keeper. It makes my old one look cheap and flimsy.

This is a beautiful paper towel holder that works really well!Pros:* Lovely design - bamboo and stainless steel looks really nice, and the weighted bottom helps it stay where you put it.* Function - love the clicking roll that makes it easy to pull and rip with just one hand (see video attached).* Conditon: arrived in perfect condition, exactly as listed/described.Cons:* Packaging - it did come well packaged in the sense that there is no way this thing could have been damaged in anyway, but take a look at the photo of all the plastic that was in this box! It was really excessive. I also found the inner box (that wraps just around the top portion of the pt holder) obnoxious to remove, but I can imagine this helps ensure it's not stolen or something when it's sold in stores. I didn't dock any stars for my personal preferences about packaging, because the product itself is exceptional in my opinion. I'd just like to see this company be a little more mindful about how they're packaging this - it was really unnecessary to use so much plastic.Overall, it's a really great paper towel holder that I would highly recommend to anyone who likes its style.

Kamenstein Perfect Tear Paper Towel-Update-After about a month of use the metal is already rusting. Very disappointing because this was great at first but if it can’t hold up it’s look for a month that’s not good. I try my best to update a review especially if something changes this quickly. Last picture is showing the rusting. It still works it just doesn’t look great.This was the most noticeable difference I’ve had from changing my paper towel holder. Usually, I change them out maybe once a year when I see the finish start to wear. This holder is noticeably better than past ones I’ve had. It works the same, I just unscrew the top and slide in the paper towel roll. The bowed metal frame does at times make it hard to push the roll down but once it’s fully installed it works great.I buy the small select a square type of paper towels and this makes it possible to tear off the smaller squares without unrolling more. Add to that the holder looks very modern and stylish. I like the wooden areas mixed with the stainless steel. I feel that material should last much longer.The only issue I had was once or twice when pushing down the roll into the holder the middle cardboard had popped out. Not at all an issue and it still worked fine without the cardboard though I wanted to mention it. The price point is reasonable and what I expected for this quality.Overall I like the product. I would recommend this over any other of this style paper towel holder that I’ve used prior. Mostly due to how well it works to remove the desired amount and only the desired amount of paper towels.
