At 8.46AM on September 11th 2001, American Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Within minutes a deluge of telephone calls flooded into the outside world. Voices From Inside the Towers is about those calls, and the stories behind those who made them. These astonishing few minutes, saturated with need and impact that none of us will ever endure, are gateways back into relationships, love stories, school triumphs, holidays abroad, family histories between caller and respondent. For the first time, HISTORY presents a film that, while acknowledging the compelling narrative of those 102 minutes, uses the power of filmmaking to portray the extraordinary lives behind just a few of those who fought for life, sought to understand the chaos and then, in many cases, calmly accepted death. \n\nEach story is told largely through the present day: the resonant memories of the loved ones families and their need for closure. Each contributor will tell their own memories of that fateful morning - a father, son, husband, sister and how each followed the unfolding drama minute by minute as we track our chosen subjects journey through the Towers.

Hard to Listen to those people we lost that day
Very sad and almost makes you cry on listening to all those people lost in the Towers.

Need to see
This was a gut gripping video.I make myself buy and watch all of these for one reason.NEVER FORGET!! You may feel tired of these things but watch them with your kids. Kids were involved, kids need to see and learn. Just like the Holocaust for WWII.

Great Video! Certainly worth buying
This documentary is very well, done and informative. The interviews with the employees and rescue workers of the WTC are incredibly moving. The stories told and portrayed will stay with you. This documentary really puts you there. All I can say is "Gosh".Great job of editing and assembling the story line.

Have seen this on tv and while such a terrible event, it is now historical in nature
Have seen this on tv and while such a terrible event, it is now historical in nature, and worth watching.

hard to watch
But important .... at times it is difficult to relive the events of that date, especially through the remembrances of the surviving family members but we should not forget.

Excellent
I really liked this dvd. It is very informative but heart wrenching to watch. I could never imagine the anguish those people felt knowing that they were trapped. Some of their last words were very very hard to listen too. My heart goes out to the families of those trapped in the buildings that day. God bless you.
