Works with 2014 BMW F30
Perfect! Yes, you will have to purchase an app if used with IOS Bimmer Code is $26.99 and works perfectly with this ODB II adapter. I was able to completely modify and program a 2014 BMW 328i X-Drive F30. Activating options that cost hundreds, if purchased through BMW coding sites, makes this unit with the software well worth every penny spent. Primary purchase was to remove "Parking Lamp Malfunction" errors when I replaced lamps with LEDs and it worked perfectly.

Compatibility
Works well with the app I am using to diagnose my BMW i3. It's quick and haven't had any issues as far as drops since it is a Wi-Fi. Great tool to diagnose any vehicle with the right app.

WORKS GREAT!!!!
Works Great!!! Coded my 2011 BMW 535i GT with BimmerCode APP. $21 for adapter $26 for access to coding on app $47 to code all the features on my car. Will be doing my wife's 2014 328i when she gets home. Plug it in connect to the wifi open the app start coding. Best deal around as may features as you want or as your car has and as many cars that you want to code. When I got my car I paid $150 to have 3 features unlocked. Had to get computer updated at dealership and lost my coding I never got my wife's done but will do hers and possibly place an add to help others.

OBD WifFi Adapter to use with Bimmercode App and Other Apps
I purchased this unit to use with a third party app called Bimmercode to change settings on my 2016 BMW 235i. It works well, although at first I got a brief error message saying my Samsung tablet couldn't connect to the WiFi. However, I immediately tried to connect again and it worked just fine. Also, if you try to make to many changes at one time, either the car, the app or this adapter times out; not sure which one is doing that. If you just make a few changes at a time and then upload them to the car (Code them), then you can go right back and code some additional changes and it won't time out. The OBD port on my car was a bit hard to find under the dash next to the driver's side kick panel and it is a bit of a tight fit to get this adapter into the socket/port, but it does fit if you press on the kick panel it will give you just enough extra room to insert the adapter. Also, I cannot comment on the software that comes with the adapter since I didn't use it as I wanted to make changes to certain functions in the car using a third party software. However, this adapter was specifically recommended by the software designer and it worked great. I also briefly connected the Torque Lite app to this adapter and that was not a problem as long as you switch the app from Bluetooth to WiFi. I may play with the Torque app a bit more, but I primarily bought this adapter for the Bimmercode app and it works just fine.

Worked great.
I grabbed this to turn in video in motion for the kids when I’m driving. Work s great. No issues. Keep in mind that I had to buy an app in the AppStore for $25 to use the coding part. Directions could be clearer but it wasn’t too hard to figure out. Plug it in to the car, turn car on, then connect to the WiFi called vlink and then connect with the app and browse your selection and code it.

First unit was DOA (like many others), second unit ended up working
The product ended up working in the end, which is great.I'll admit though, my blood pressure was pretty high from nervousness as I was uploading a headunit configuration to a BMW for the first time. The unit sometimes disconnects (via wifi), but I blame my car for that more. It appears to power cycle the adapter when toggling ignition states. Also wireless CarPlay tends to instruct the iPhone to switch over to the car's hosted AP.I've also experienced some read errors/timeouts, which I cannot prove if it's related to the unit, so no points off for that.I did not however experience timeouts when using an OBD2 to ethernet cable before *shrugs*The first unit I received was DOA, much like many other customers are experiencing (which was frustrating). There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of hardware QA, even if this is a straight-from-China product.Hence the 3-star review: it's not bad, it's not great: it's good.
