Something about the docking station doesn't scream high power transmitter to me. If you're sure there are no shorts in the fence ( you have tested continuity) I say try it. Sounds like a lucky break if it works. You still need a line in the middle of the loop leading back to the base. It uses this when going home after a run. One thing to note, the mower always goes past the loop. It is embedded in the firmware. The minimum distance is 20 cm. I have a roborock and the LiDAR and video processing sold me. It does great. The house is more dynamic and flexible. But roborock saves me time. This robot is equally good. Not as sophisticated but does not need to be. Putting the boundry wire down was easy. The guide wire was also clean. My lawn is small and not sloped. The first time it almost fell off my retaining wall so I moved it to 12 inches away from boundary instead of 13. All good. Runs every other night. Saved me at least a hundred bucks a month with my mow and blow guys as they don’t have to drag their mower in. So far so good.
