Abdolute Junk & No Tech Support
Read the reviews on XLENT IDEA's products on other sites before you buy - I wish I had! They sell under different names but they look like the picture on this page.I bought one of these and have never been so disappointed in my life. I have worked on robotics professionally for many years and I have never seen such a shoddy piece of equipment. It constantly jams, drops discs, double picks, and needs recalibration about every 25 to 50 discs. I returned the first one and was sent a replacement. When I opened the box it was an old, used machine that had its own whole set of problems. I sent it back and received a third one, and it was no better than either of the other two. It constantly jams and has to be babied continuously. I have contacted technical support for three separate problems and have not had any of them resolved. Each time the tech rep I talked to has been a guy at a call center in India who obviously has no technical background and only goes through the same list of prepared questions and offer the same generic suggestions, regardless of whether they have anything to do with the problem at hand. They have not once been able to solve my problem. When they exhaust their list they "escalate" the problem to a "technical specialist" who I am told will contact me immediately. Apparently the specialist doesn't exist because I have never heard back from anybody. If you're still not convinced to look elsewhere you should also consider this - it uses A LOT of ink, and the cartridges are very expensive, and they dry up if they're not used every few days.I really don't have the time or money to waste on this piece of junk anymore and will be relieved to take it to the recycling center. Maybe the raw materials will be good for something - the machine certainly isn't!
