Product Description happytree Original Maple Water is the delicious and nutritious water tapped from maple trees in the early spring. Trees are nature's best filter - they filter carbon from our air, and water up through its roots. Enjoy our maple water to hydrate and refresh throughout the day. Order by the case with confidence - 1/2 the calories and carbs of coconut water, none of the junk additives of flavored waters, and support our preservation and tree-planting efforts while your taste buds and thirsty cells thanks us! From the Manufacturer The best clean hydration and refreshment: water filtered and enriched by the tree Treewaters are water pulled up from the ground by the tree roots, and then filtered and enriched by the tree. We tap the water direct from the tree in a completely sustainable and conscientious way - and bottle for you without any added sweeteners, flavors, colors, or preservatives. We eat and drink clean - just fresh tree-tapped water and a splash of organic fruit juice or fair-trade coffee. Delicious for us, beneficial for the environment Trees have as much as 200 gallons of water flowing through them at any time. We tapped an average of 11 gallons per tree last year, which is completely sustainable. Beyond that, treewaters provide an incentive to keep the trees in the ground where they belong, as opposed to harvesting them for lumber. We believe that preserving our natural environment and resources can also make economic sense - and our treewaters and mission is a perfect example of that. And of course - happytree is delicious ;) Electrolytes, B-vitamins, and Antioxidants Our treewaters have the naturally occurring nutrients we need to power us through the day - electrolytes for hydration, b-vitamins are good for your metabolism, and antioxidants protect you health. Preferred 8:1 over coconut water in a blind taste test Our maple waters are delicious! We put our Original against coconut water on a televised blind taste test and happytree FTW by more than 8 to 1. Try it for yourself! More nutrients. Less Sugar. 1/4 of the calories and sugar of many fruit juices : 1/2 the calories and sugar of coconut or watermelon water : More electrolytes than a leading sports drink : More anti-oxidants than the leading anti-oxidant beverage We plant trees! Trees are one of the fundamental building blocks of our environmental ecosystem. They are the first line of defense against global warming, provide shelter for wildlife, clean air for us to breathe - and now, delicious water for us to drink. Our treewaters are completely sustainable and help support the family-farmers who maintain and preserve our vital forestlands. Beyond that, we love planting trees! Every bottle of happytree enjoyed enables us to plant more trees throughout the Catskills, on our property and through partnership with local farmers and preservation organizations. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words.Water from treesHow did you come up with the idea for this product? My brother and I were tapping trees on his organic homestead in the Catskill Mountains in upstate NY. We drank the water straight from the tree, and immediately were amazed that we hadn't known that trees filter and enrich delicious and nutritious water. We did some research and found that in addition to its delicious taste - the water contains B vitamins, electrolytes, and loads of anti-oxidants. We had to share it with everyone - and we are doing so now. :)What makes your product special? We all know that we need to drink 8 glasses of water per day - but water is boring, has no other nutrition, and spends much of its life sitting in metal pipes before consumption. Our treewaters are filtered, flavored, and enriched by trees - not by lab or lead pipe. They taste great, are low calorie / sugar, and have all the vital nutrients that bring nature back to life in the spring and us in the morning, with exercise, and throughout the day. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Our consumers! The best part is being able to an amazing product created by nature accessible for people to enjoy anytime anywhere. The highlights of our days are the nice emails and feedback we get from our fellow treewater lovers.

Moldy, dangerous, and company is non-responsive. They don't even have an email address or contact info on website
We have been long time fans and supporters of your products, however we just received 2 more moldy/spoiled cases of maple waters--one original and one lemon, and another batch before was borderline moldy also. I thought you had corrected your so called "storage problem" with Amazon? Four out of the last five batches of maple waters we have received have been spoiled with chunks of mold floating and they are all very cloudy. I emailed you through amazon a few times but no reply. The one batch out of the 5 was 'not' outright moldy, but even that one didn't taste fresh, it was borderline also. What is happening? I don't want to post reviews warning customers about this, but I feel it is at best unhealthy, and borderline dangerous. Mold can be toxic, especially in a processed product like this, and if mold can grow so can bacteria. Also, what it is say about the freshness of the product or the degraded nutritional value? How can a product that expires in 9 months already be bad? Imagine what this product would be like in 2 or 6 months from now, especially without refrigeration. If it is already bad now try to project what it would be like 8 or 9 months from now. The expiration dates are totally outrageous, yes? We refrigerate and open the boxes the day they arrive, always. This problem started arising during fall and winter so its not just a hot weather phenomenon. You used to ship your products with ice, and now you don't, and obviously there is something wrong with your storage and processing even before shipping.I am attaching an image of what they look like. We used to love your product but it has steadily gone downhill. Once you stopped shipping with ice we started getting cloudy batches fairly often, though I am sure it is more than just the lack of ice to blame here because it was happening even in the dead of winter. I am sure I am not the only on experiencing this and to be frank it only seems like a matter of time before your company gets shut down entirely, so I highly suggest some radical changes. Amazon should remove this product from their website immediately.

Love this brand, but....
I strongly prefer this brand to the one in my local supermarket, however 3 - 25% - of the bottles were spoiled (nothing visible but smelled and tasted off).

Mostly great
I love this maple water, but this is the second time I’ve received a bottle with dark brown floating stuff in it.

Disappointed...
8 out of 12 bottles were bad, they tasted like they we're rotten and smelled really bad :( I am disappointed bc I needed these for my workouts. This is the first time it's happened and I have a subscription so I am hoping this will be rectified asap.
