Purchased despite seeing negative reviews and regretted it
I really wanted to like this product because it has features that I couldn't find together in any other automatic pet feeders—you can operate it from anywhere using your smart phone, it has a battery backup, and it has a camera so you can see and hear your furry companion when you're missing them. But—and this is the kicker—it just does not work. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this product, and despite the negative reviews I saw, I decided to get it anyway because it seemed from what I read in the reviews that many of the problems folks were encountering could be solved by installing a "firmwire" update available for download on RolliPet's website. Once the pet feeder arrived, I found it fairly easy to set up using the app on my phone, and for the first 5 days I had this pet feeder, it worked like the dream it promised to be. Seeing my kitty on camera while I was stuck at work was seriously awesome. But after that 5-day honeymoon was over, the feeder would no longer connect to the app on my phone, even after several attempts at reconfiguration. So, I bought a micro SD card and a micro SD card reader and followed the instructions on RolliPet's website to try to install the firmwire update. I couldn't get it to work, and I attempted to install the update in every different way I could think of. I emailed RolliPet and got a generic reply that didn't respond to the specifics I had mentioned in my email. I called the customer service number RolliPet has listed on their website at least 20 times, spread throughout different days and different times of day. Each time, I got the voicemail of a surveillance systems company, which is obviously suspicious.Something is not right with this product, and their customer service department is clearly not there for folks to help troubleshoot. As a result, I strongly recommend against buying this pet feeder.

Unsafe for your pets
We bought 2 of these for our small dogs (a Scottie & a Westie) because my wife & I have an Airstream travel trailer & we sometimes go out camping on the weekend & leave the dogs at home. We were looking for a feeder that could do multiple days & have an intergrated camera & speaker. These feeders do actually feed the dogs and the camera & integrated speaker work great. The reason I have given 2 stars is because of a few problems:1. Many times while we are out of town it won't feed the dogs for multiple meals in a row. It doesn't give an error or an alarm when it fails to feed them, it just doesn't do it & the only way you can tell is if you go into the controlling app, look in the "Event Management" section & manually look to see what happens. We have ours set up to feed twice a day at 0600am and 5pm. Numerous times it will just skip 1 or both of the feedings in the day. Look at our photo accompanying this review. You can see where it skipped both feedings on July 3rd and the morning feeding on July 4th. We had to do a manual feeding on the 4th because we have zero confidence that it will feed them. Will it feed them & not report it? Will it not feed them & not report it? Will it report that it fed them & not feed them? There is literally no way to tell! This is UNSAFE and UNRELIABLE for ensuring the safety of your pets.2. Sometimes the unit will alarm that it is out of food when it clearly has food in the hopper. In fact, most times it gives this alarm, it is right after I have refilled it. My only guess is that it counts the number of servings & once it hits a certain unknown number, it alarms thinking it is out of food. The problem is that when this happens, it will not feed the animals any further until it believes you have refilled the food hopper. The only way I have found to make that happen is to do a full factory reset every time I refill it. If you get this alarm, the feeder refuses to dispense any more food until the alarm is cleared. If you happen to be out of town, then you're in trouble until you can get back to the machine.3. I've gone to the company website to submit a trouble ticket, complaint or something. There is no phone number. There is an email address that I submitted an email to approximately 5 months ago, but never got any response. The quality of the website is such that it makes you think it was translated from Korean to English very very badly.4. The app for this machine is terrible for numerous reasons but one of the worst is that it is only designed for 1 feeder and 1 dog/cat. So if you're trying to check status on 2 feeders you have to set up 2 accounts. Then log out of one and into the other to check both feeders. There is no way to check both feeders from one account. Very inconvenient.5. Lastly, at least once per week at least one of the feeders will make an audible alarm that sounds like someone saying "Uh Oh!" But there is no corresponding alarm or error on the controlling app on our phones. So there is no way to determine why it's giving you that error or how to fix it! Very frustrating. The feeders LOOK really professionally done. However, those looks are super-deceiving. It doesn't work reliably, there's no way to fix it & no where to complain to have someone address the problems in an app or firmware release. If the safety of your pets while you're out of town is important to you, don't buy this feeder.

Works well, remote access doesn't work on iPhones with T-Mobile
Works great, with latest firmware. The app doesn't support IPv6, so if you have an iPhone with iOS 10.3 and higher and 28.3 carrier release for T-Mobile you won't be able to use the app remotely.
