Fireplace Damper Stop, Damper Flue Clamp, or Safety Lock - Set of 2

I've used these for many sellers that have not installed "C" clamps on their fireplace flues. They work great and meet California fire codes.

City code made it necessary for gas fireplace flue to keep it open when using fireplace. Haven't used yet so can not say how well it works

The clamps are unusable as they are shipped because the bolts are too short. I'll guess that was to save money, but they don't work for the intended purpose of the clamp. They should make the bolts longer or remove the title: "Fireplace Damper Stop, Damper Flue Clamp, or Safety Lock". It is false advertisement and a major pain. I'll be requesting my money back and for Amazon to take this product off the marketplace.

Good product. The screw doesn't good all the way into the clamp. If it would, it will be much more efficient and practical.Make the screw longer or at least give to option the buy it with longer screws.

A little hard to install

I would have given this product 5 stars if it had just been supplied with the correct length bolts. Read the other reviews, this is the only issue. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase bolts that were long enough to make the clamp effective. Until the supplier corrects this issue, I recommend purchasing another product.

Bolt was too short to clamp onto a thin fireplace damper plate. I had to find longer replacement bolts.

The bolts supplied do not tighten onto thin sheet metal.
