These box frames worked great. I had two items to hang. One was my son's clay hand print for around 1st grade. He's now 52. I always had it put away so it wouldn't get broken. It looks great in the shadow box.The other item was a delicate sculpture of my mother's face. It was very fragile and I didn't know how to hang it. The box frame was perfect. Because the piece itself is a beige color, my sun just flipped the backing to the black side and now it is just gorgeous. The only thing that didn't work was the pins included to mount the art. We solved that by using small, thin nails. It worked perfectly.

The clear plastic cover part of frame has a protective liner you need to peel off. In both cases on both frames I could not get it off. I carefully tried to remove liner but it was still visible around edges. I very carefully tried to take out plastic part to remove the exposed protective cover and in both cases the plastic frame that holds in the contents cracked and was un-usable. I should have returned the product but I had already created the shadowbox so I am stuck with two shadowboxes without a frame cover. Don't buy these.

Great shadow box. Price is great. Only problem is that the shadow box with the frame is 12x12, the display area is actually only 11x11. I had bought this to display my penny presses. I used a 12x12 cork board, but it will not fit into this. I will now need to redo my cork board and cut it down to fit inside this frame.

Bought 4 of these for a common Christmas present for a few people.First off was the quality. Quality was very cheap. Corners are held together with 2 staples. 2 out of the 4 frames I bought broke apart.Second disappointment was the backing. It comes with a very thin liner material that is then placed in front of a hard wooden style material. You can use a safety pin or the included sewing pins to attach a photo as long as the pin is placed roughly parallel with the backing. The pins are unable to penetrate the hard wooden style backing. In my case I was using it to attach collectible pins that have a 90 degree angle requiring the pin to go straight into the backing. It would go through the thin backing material but then stop at the hard cardboard. For metal "trading" style pins, it would not go in far enough to hold their weight. (For example - compared to a half inch or inch foam block that these pins would need).So - depending on your use - this may or may not be a good fit. In my case it wasn't a good match and was left with horrible quality.

Don't waste your time with these shadow boxes!! If something seems too good to be true, it usually is! The "glass" for these frames are a very thin sheet of plastic, not even a plexi glass, and they have a plastic wrap piece on top of that. I bought these for senior gifts for my daughter's softball team. The plastic "glass" easily bent on the 1st frame and made a permanent crease in it. Returning them and buying shadow boxes with real glass in them from another store. I found them for almost the same cost!

Very cheap!!! One of them came with the plastic part busted and I needed them the day they were delivered. I would recommend spending a little more for higher quality

The smart remark that was sent to me via email. Unecessary. I know it’s a shadow box. However the demensions do don’t fit MY 12x12 photo. So it’s either my pictures that are off OR your product.

What a waste of time! The front "glass" is NOT glass. It is a crappy piece of plastic that is glued in with a protective plastic sheet over it. The protective sheet is also glued in. Well, the protective coat on one of the ones I got started pealing and no mattered how hard I tried I could not get it out. Total hot mess!
