Car Battery Charger TOPDON T90A, Automotive Battery Maintainer & Desulfator with 12/24V Output, 5A-90A Adjustable Charging Current, Trickle Charger for Boat Mariner Truck Motorcycle

This is my second Topdon product. I am impressed with the design and attention to detail. As a DIYer, this is my most expensive charger to date but IMO it is worth the money. I purchased this charger mostly for its 90A Maintainer (Power Supply) capability. So far, I have only used the 'Repair' and 'Normal' charging modes and briefly played with 'Supply' mode. I really appreciate the fact that the charger design implements an informative and very useful LCD display that shows voltage, current, charging time, charging capacity (Ah), charging steps and charging error codes. Most modes allow you to set both voltage and current limits (of course the system will only draw the current that it needs). I also like the fact the charger implements a USB port to allow for future software upgrades. The default plug is for 120VAC 20A outlets (NEMA 5-20) and it also comes with a NEMA 5-20 to NEMA 5-15 adapter. It looks like in most cases the unit will not surpass 13.5A, so you can you feed the charger from a 15A outlet/ breaker. In cases where you are running above 13.5V at 90A draw, they recommend you feed from a 20A outlet/breaker instead. I wish Topdon would make/sell a protective hard case for this charger. I also considered their Tornado 120000 charger which can handle up to 120A, but in my case it was overkill. I also wish the + and - buttons were backwards from how they are positioned now (I realize Chinese is read from right to left or top to bottom and probably the reason). Other products considered were PowerMax PMBC series and Clore Automotive PRO-LOGIX PL6850. Good job Topdon! Keep up the good work! Also impressed with you scanners such as the PHOENIX PLUS 2.

This thing is awesome. Well worth the buy. Don’t look for another unit. This will exceed your expectations. I’m very pleased with mine.
