LS1 LS6 C5 Corvette Longtube Headers 1997-04 (1 7/8" Race Version) X-Pipe

I did a lot of research on budget LT headers before deciding on these for my 2000 Corvette. I could not be happier with the fit. No jacking the engine, no steering shaft removal. I did have to pull the starter. The clamps are fair and I did have a muffler shop weld up the X pipe. You will have to cut the factory H pipe to mount up to your axle back.

Put them on my 04 c5z. Great fitment, good welds and quality seems great. Only down fall is that the slip joints in the back leak when cold. Quick trip to my muffler shop and that's all fixed. Can't beat them for the $. I would buy these again.Installed in my garage on jack stands with basic tools and a floor jack. Passenger side I jacked the engine up 1" and loosened up the starter. Driver's side with engine still up, disconnected the steering shaft and slid in. Both went in from the top. A/c lines don't touch and neither does the steering shaft.

The fitment was spot on, will take few hours to install correctly if you are mechanically inclined. I was nervous because of some reviews but just because it isn’t name Brand doesn’t always mean trash. These are just as nice as a 1000$ plus set.
