Ok, so it was shipped quickly, it is well made, and it does what it’s supposed to do, it kept the shower head of my espresso machine clean during the brew. I was hoping it would get me more crema per brew, one would think it would, but sadly, no dice. I cannot fault the seller on this, as coffee is so subjective and we all have different espresso machines. For this reason, I am not asking for a refund. This screen did what it was supposed to do, but for me, it’s a crema killer. I tried it on top of the puck, and on the bottom, no crema at all. Not even the little amount I was getting before. Flat. But the shower head was clean of coffee grounds when I used it on top of the coffee as instructed. So I wanted to offer a little tip to those looking for more crema and not getting it from their machines. I’ve found that if you put a little espresso in your filter basket, tamp it down, put a little more, tamp it down, and so on until the filter basket is full of coffee. So you have layers of coffee all tamped down in the filter basket, then brew. You’ll get a little more crema this way. As for this screen, I think it comes down to preference. It does what it says it will do, but I just don’t care for how the coffee comes out. I can’t blame the seller for this, so I just chalk it up to preference here. I just didn’t like the result. My fault for buying something that didn’t work out, and I hope someday I can find a use for it because it really is a good, fine, heavy duty screen. For now, I’ll be more careful buying coffee stuff, and in the junk drawer it goes.

Just barely fits in my 54mm portafilter so I have to be careful otherwise I press it wrong and flip out the espresso powder. I don't know, without trying another kind, if it's a great crema maker or not.

The media could not be loaded.  Not only does this filter keep the grounds out of your brew head, it adds to the back pressure of your espresso machine which helps to make better, richer espresso with lots of crema! The build quality of this screen is great, and the fit and finish with this stainless screen is perfect without any sharp edges. Make sure you order the correct millimeters for your portafilter because there are several different sizes. I couldn't believe that just adding this screen could make such a difference in the flavor of the espresso, but it does. It keeps the espresso tightly packed and forces the water through the puck to get the best tasting flavor. I highly, highly recommend. You'll be glad that you got it!

If you have a Breville Espresso machine this is a must have to perfect pulling shots. You get 2 screens with the purchase. I’ve used only one and wash it between uses with the occasional long soak to clean out residual oil. This screen will improve you water flow and saturation for your puck, create even back pressure for your group head while also helping keep the group head clean. It’s worth every penny!!

I was worried about ordering these based on the reviews saying that they wouldn’t fit. I have a Breville 54 mm portables- one Breville and one I ordered off Amazon, and these fit both just fine.

works great with my 54mm portafilter. i have a breville bambino plus, and it keeps the shower screen cleaner. not sure if it affects the puck quality but i like it!

I have been using a Wacaco Picopresso for some days. Even with the utmost care and attention to the grind size, distribution and tamping, channeling can happen quite often. This puck screen helps even out the water distribution and helps prevent channels resulting in a better brew, thicker Crema and body.
