They have a left margin area with holes so you can put them in 3 ring binders. The Velcro closures keep items secure. They hold several papers comfortably & are transparent so you can see the top/bottom page. There is a pocket on front where you can insert a ID card of what’s in the folder and/or I keep a business card from my banker in the banking folder.
