This lamp and base are an eye catcher. The fabric is a beautiful burnt velvet with a pattern that is a gorgeous rose print with symmetrical patterns that are strategically placed on each panel to compliment the frame and really make this shade special. There is subtle gold around the print in the fabric that shimmers and is complimented by the trim and beading and the gold base. The colors are a crimson red rose, neutral, gold, black, and a touch of even a pale green. The trim is gold and black and the handmade glass beading is 5" and draws all the colors of the fabric into it. The base really makes this lamp something special, its a gold bronze heavy vine look with a bird sitting on the limb. Together these two really are a pair and it's small enough to add that special touch to any spot. When lit you can see the beautiful burnt velvet print show through but off, it's equally as gorgeous. One of my favorites as the artist. And this fabric is no longer available so once it gone, it will not be made again. The shape of the shade is traditional style, small lotus bell with 6 small panels. The height of this lamp is 34", with the base. It is truly a beautiful lamp with a classy style that can easily compliment any room with the colors. It's difficult to see the beauty in the pictures of this shade, It's a perfect combination of the shade, the base and trim and fabrics. The colors are soft and romantic.
