2nd reply to seller: This was purchased as a Christmas gift for our 15 year old grandson. He put it all together, soldering some of the parts. My grandson does have some experience doing this type of work. When he tried to use the controller to fly the quad-copter, the controller and the quad-copter did not connect with each other. My husband, the grandfather, looked it all over, checked the solder connections, etc. and could not find anything wrong with either component. My husband is an electrical engineer, electrician, ham radio operator and has put many circuit boards, etc. together, so he does know that technique very well. It appears that something is wrong with one of the components. I would like a replacement or a refund, please. Thank you,Sue [email protected]

Great kit!

I bought this set for my son and his friend to assemble. They're 10 years old and had a blast doing the kit. They were totally engaged in the process, debating the best way to do the soldering and talking over each other while they built the kit. A great thing to see as a parent. They wrote the review below. Hope you find it helpful:"Kitables are very fun and creative. It was a very cool experience, soldering the wires, sticking the motors onto the lego, and flying it. We have yet to build this drone because this kit, and it's replacement, both had the same Lego parts missing! The boxes had been previously opened and the product box tape was yellowed due to age. To complete this kit you may have to search "your kids" Lego stash for the missing parts. The same 5 pieces were missing in both deliveries -- one of the missing Lego pieces is critical for the drone to be assembled. This is definitely not a fun kit to be given to your "Stem" child as a fun challenge. It will likely become work for the adults to find the missing components. Also, note that soldering is required as well! My advice: Consider looking elsewhere for something different. Take care.

The defect: After assembly, it appears as though one of the motor speed controllers is defective. We attempted to remove and resolder the connection to the motor with the same result. We then attached a voltmeter to various motor outputs. While the functional motors registered a voltage at their output, the defective speed controller did not. I am requesting a replacement circuit board to address this issue.

Unfortunately, this is an incomplete set. Several pieces are missing and there is no remote. Please send a replacement and a return label to return the incomplete set. It was a very disappointing birthday gift for my son. Please respond to this.

These kits are brilliant! Everything is there for creative minds to explore building something and getting the fulfillment of using it!! So awesome to combine Legos and Drones. I recommend anything Kitables makes!!

Put the kit together following the company provided instructions. The zip ties don't hold the motors very well and after two minutes of fun one of the cables was ripped out of one motor. At that time the fun was over and my kid was crying. Requested a return and refund from Amazon. Hopefully I can get my money back.
