More often than not any converter cables tend to have issues with bad soldering or crimping
People have been saying to avoid these with the 6 pin power connector, and go with the 4 pin. Working as intended, I ordered from OyzmaxDirect with prime shipping. Just don't use the SATA adapter since it feels really thin.

Watch it!!
Finally got a chance to try one. First out of the bag all installed. Powered up the system and the 1X side of the adapter immediately began to smoke. With any luck it didn't damage the board or the attached card but hey who knows. I think may I'd try another brand. I've never had issues with other similar products I've purchased. Haven't tried the other two. Not sure I want to.

I purchased the risers with 6 pin connectors from two different sellers and they were ALL bad! Avoid them at all cost
AVOID! They do not work! I will avoid these batches with the 6 pin connectors and will be only buying the ones with the molex to sata connectors. I purchased the risers with 6 pin connectors from two different sellers and they were ALL bad! Avoid them at all cost!!!
