DeoxIT D5S-6 Spray, More Than A Contact Cleaner, 142g, Integrated Straw

It’s pricey, but well worth it. I found out about this spray from YouTube in a video about must haves for every guitar player. This is a must! I was able to revive tone pots that nothing else was able to fix. It cleaned out the gunk and the pots have stayed clear and clean for over three years now. I highly recommend this to all electric guitar and bass players.

This is the ONLY contact cleaner that actually works. I've tried others in the past but they only worked for maybe a day and the potentiometers were scratchy sounding again. This stuff made them work permanently. Most contact cleaners don't have a lubricant in them and that's the difference. Deoxit brought 40+ year old pots back to life in one application. Amazing...

It didn’t come with the yellow straw as advertised It came with a red straw that didn’t fit in the hole in nozzle. I received a refund

I have used DeoxIT before and it is a great product, but sadly, the little application tube that is used to get it into tight places (which I absolutely need to use) is not fitting into the nozzle. I cannot tell if it is too LOOSE and it just falls out or too tight and will not go IN. I think it is the former.My solution will be to use epoxy to permanently affix the tube to the nozzle. Just be aware that this could happen. And this is not the first time I have had an applicator like this fail. Last time was a spray gun cleaner by a different manufacturer.

Deoxit D5 is an excellent product, I've been using it for many years. Recently, however, the price has climbed out of sight. Paying $ 20+ for a 5 oz. can is simply highway robbery. The company who now owns the Deoxit line, Hosa, obviously has no scruples about pricing, following the example of the drug companies. This kind of marketing will ensure that a product which has maintained a reputation as the ONLY one of it's kind and quality, will certainly discover serious competition soon.
