Like other reviews, I was quite skeptical due to the waterproof lining. The lining itself is a super soft , flexible plastic. It doesn't make a sound, even when squishing in your hands. That is the part I was worried about, but no worries. It washed up beautifully. Nice thickness, not cheap at all. SUPER HAPPT with purchase. I am not sure how many washing it will hold up in, but so far I love them.

Just splurged and bought myself two new long size goose down pillows. My last one is two decades old and washed to death. It was fraying around the edges from age, wear, and deep cleanings. I wanted to be able to go a bit longer between cleanings because, let's face it, bouncing around in a washer wears fabric out. Also, drying a down pillow is a laborious task. These covers are plush, well sewn, with nicely folded seams and a perfectly placed zipper. I was once a professional seamstress so I know what to look for, this company does it well. THEY DO NOT MAKE NOISE! They aren't hot. They do not obstruct the movement of the pillow. When I get a migraine, I wrap the pillow around my head to avoid noise and light, the pillow protectors don't prohibit any movement of the pillow.

These pillow covers are working out very well. I bought them to protect my new very expensive wool filled pillows. I wanted a waterproof cover to protect my pillows from sweat which will turn the fabric yellow. That has not happened but if it does the yellow will be on these covers which could be removed for cleaning. Others said they make no noise which I guess can happen with waterproof covers. I find them quiet but if you pay close attention there is some sound when moving around. But it is insignificant. I am very happy with this product.

...air out until the very strong smell of plastic dissipates. perhaps they are quite...fresh.... had to put fans in the laundry room to get the plastic smell out. still airing them out so can't say how comfortable they are but the smell has significantly lessened (true test will be when used and they become warm).the three stars are for their construction and how well they laundered, no strings or lint or dodgy stitching and the thickness of the plastic waterproof interior of them seems quite sturdy as well yet still quite pliable which should lessen cracking over time. however, the stuff in the plastic that makes it pliable is where most of the smell comes from.

After my son, who is older....brought some new pillows from his dads without my knowledge I went to stip his bedding for wash and found they contained a gel foam that could not be laundered. He occasionally will not wake in the night to urinate (yes, the physician is aware). They really did not smell after i pulled the pillow case off but i knew something was needex for this dup. This protectors are far supirior to what i have been able to locate anywhere else. And to get the pair for that price is fantastic! Intend to purchase a couple more sets for other pillows about our home. The guilting is a nice touch with a very easy to use zipper on the side. They are thick enough to provide protection but not too thick as to spoil the integrity of the comfy pillow. I do wish these game with a gusseted option.

I was hoping these covers would make my pillows softer but they had the opposite effect. It made them so hard, I had to take the covers off. I thought maybe it was just "me" so I put one on my husband's pillow, and right away, he asked me what I did with his pillow as it was so hard! So, that was a waste of money. Very sorry I purchased them.

I bought a set of these for the husband's and my pillows. His pillow is horribly old but he won't part with it. I dropped it into one of these cases and he didn't notice any difference, so that's a plus.I, on the other hand, can't say I really like it. My pillow is fairly full and well-formed yet it's like it's sliding around in the case and what happens is my pillow ends up slipping inside the case to above my head. When I try to get it comfortable I can hear the slightest crackling of the inner lining. I'm almost sure I can probably figure out a way to keep it from slipping but that's where I am with it right now.

I really like these covers, they are heavy weight and well padded. besides keeping my newly washed pillows clean, they made them feel like brand new. I "restored" two sets of pillows with these and saved money by not having to buy new pillows! I would definitely recommend them.

Shipped quickly, substantial material, fit my queen size pillows like a glove, left off a star as I can not verify how they fare in the laundry. Price was exellent for what was received. Very happy with the purchase.
