Thorlos Experia XCCU running socks has been the choice for runners since 2009.  Loved for the exceptional fit and signature cushioning in the heel and forefoot wrapped in the legendary quality that is Thorlos.  Named a “Best of Both Worlds” by Runners World, Experia delivers cushion only where you need it and ultra thin fibers for the best fit.  Constructed of Thorlo’s exclusive Thor-WICK Cool fibers, Experia wicks the moisture away to keep your feet dry and practically eliminate blister formation.

I wanted to love them, but I put a hole in them the first time I wore them.
I used to play competitive tennis and Thorlos were always my go-to brand of tennis sock. I decided to see if they were still around and was pleased when I found these socks. However, these particular socks don't live up to my expectations of Thorlo. In the past, they were incredibly durable socks, but these "ran" the very first time I wore them ... and I wasn't playing a tough match of tennis, I was just pulling them onto my feet. the ankle edging is thin and no stronger than women's hosiery. I put my index finger right through it. The socks themselves were comfortable enough and stayed in place, but hopefully no one is looking too closely at my ankles! I'll keep searching for the Thorlos of my youth, but these are not those socks.

Cute colors - bad fit
I have worn Thorlos socks for years and never had any concerns but I definitely do not care for this style.....primarily because of sizing and slipping. Normally, I wear a woman's 8 to 8 1/2 shoe. To be safe, I ordered two pairs of socks in two different sizes - Women's 7-9 and Women's 9.5-11.5. Both pairs came up short and small. That is bad enough but the biggest inconvenience is that the darn socks slip into my shoes and I constantly need to stop and pull them up when I walk. The sock is worthless if is does stay put.I really wanted to like these socks because of all the fun and vibrant colors. Unfortunately, this sock does not work for me so I went back to my Balega hidden comfort running socks which are a great fit and have a good heel tab which keeps the sock from slipping into the shoe.

Small feet will love these.
I bought size x-small. I'm a female whose shoe size is 6 or, sometimes, 5 1/2. Those of you with a similar shoe size know that standard socks don't fit us and it's hard finding quality socks that do fit. We can wear children's socks, but they never seem to fit quite right and aren't made as well. These socks feel great, they fit perfectly, and the heel stays in place. There is no seam line across the end of the toes. The padding really does feel good.Having finished this review, I'm going to go order more right now.

Favorite recovery sock
I stumbled upon Thorlo Experia socks at a race expo last year. While I didn't wear them for my half marathon that day, I was in heaven when I put them on after the race was over. After 13.1 miles of pounding, they were just what my feet needed to recover. The sock has some padding in the heel and ball of the foot. As someone who has been experiencing metatarsal pain since starting a 12 half marathons in 12 months goal, the padding in the Thorlo Experias makes walking around a little easier after a long run. While I haven't worn them for a half marathon, I have used them during training runs with a pair of shoes that run a little big. The socks are comfortable for running, if a little warmer than other running socks. I purchased the micro mini crew, and the socks peek out a bit from the tops of my running shoes, more so than some of my other running socks. I wear a women's size 12 running shoe and have a narrow foot. The men's size medium Thorlo Experia fits perfectly.

Best running socks you can get
These are great. A little expensive, but so is lost training due to blisters... These fit your feet tight and offer some cushioning to provide blister free comfortable running. Longevity? I bought a pair about a year ago and they still seem fine in that they have no worn spots or holes in them. They did loosen up around the ankles a bit which let them sometimes slip into the shoe, so I retired them. I bought three pairs this round and hope they will last a while. They're just socks, however... I do expect to replace them at some point! For size, I made a mistake here. The first pair I bought was off the self where I could look at the size chart on the package. I didn't pay attention to the "sock" size as in S M or L, I just looked at the shoes size. I wear a size 10 shoe. It turns out, the in the Thorlo world, size 10 shoe means a size M in socks... I bought a pack of L size socks meant for shoe size 11 and up. They bunched up under my toes... No good. Bought the size M socks, and all was well. If you run, try these.

Poor quality :-(
I have worn Thorlos for years, but the quality of this pair of socks is poor. I have many threads hanging from both socks after wearing them only once. I can already tell that a hole is forming on the bottom of one sock where the threads are hanging. I purchased multiple pairs of these socks in different colors. I will be returning the ones that are unworn. It’s really a shame that the quality has become so poor because I loved all of the colors that were offered.

Runners MUST have sock
Love these socks - have had the one pair for over a year and no issues - I know for dock life that the running shoe also has to be kept up. With other socks that are full thickness I tend to sweat but with these I have not even had a blister - run 5 miles a day :-)Even got a set for my fiancéHighly recommend these!!!

Would not buy again
I was very disappointed in this purchase. For $15 socks I had some expectations and these did not meet them. I walked one block and they were already slipping down into my shoes. I will be returning my unopened pair.Edit: I decided to give my unopened pair s try and wore them around the house, with tennis shoes on, for half a day and they got s hole in them in that short of time. I will be returning both pairs,

Great quality socks with protection in all the right places for those that run a lot. Great value for money too, so good I bought three pairs!

Excellent
These are the best quality running socks. Padded in all the right places but cool also, so perfect in summer and winter when pounding the pavements. My husband loves this brand also. Really good quality - worth every penny in the blisters they prevent!

I love cushioning and overall feel, but stretching is to tight.

Comfy but hot!
Very comfortable socks but they are quite thick so can make your feet hot which, for me, defeats the object of the liner style.

The best socks out there
These are the best socks that were ever made by anyone. They may come in at a steep price but I promise, it is worth it.
