Great price, nice tarp for the price
Saw this for 19 bucks and on prime so, I figured I would get it. It's a light yellowish / light coyote brownish yellow. Has corner tie outs with center edge tie outs giving you 3 tie outs per side, and 4 boxed tie outs in the center of tarp. 12 total. The seller got back with me, this is silnylon so it should do fine in rainy weather, there is a ridgeline seam (double stitched) that will need to be sealed. The tie outs are ok, nylon strap with grommet punched through, and a reinforced triangle piece of material (same as tarp material) sewn in, the nylon tie out loop is single stitched in two spots, it will hold but could be a bit better better (grommet also helps lots for strength and versatility, like the terra nova has,, but terra nova adventure 2 tieouts are more sturdy, 3 times more costly too). This should hold up fine, in my opinion a good tarp should have 5 tie out points per side. This one makes up for it with the center tarp tie outs. All seams are doubled stitched and the outer hem has a black thicker material stitched around it, which is nice.It packs small, and is light. It's a good tarp. Not to thin but a great light weight nylon. I plan on useing it for tarp / bushcraft camping. I have several tarps, this is my cheapest. From bushcraftusa, aquaques, dd hammock tarp, terra nova. This is the cheapest one I have, but it seem that it will do fine, again It's not heavy material but it's not super light either. Nice for light weight trip. If you don't have a lot of cash this should do fine. I like the dd hammock 3mx3m tarp (nice price range, like 52 bucks though) lots for the price (best pull out placement) along with the cash killer aquaquest (99 bucks..wow).All in all for the price, it's a very nice buy. Am pleased so far.

Decent budget backpacking tarp, if the manufacturer hadn't lied about the weight.
A word about the actual specs of this product: it is NOT 510 grams. The tarp and its stuff sack weighs 648g and the guy lines / pegs with their stuff sack weigh 117g for a total of 765g (about 1.7 lbs). I weighed it on a kitchen scale. It is 9x9 (ft) as stated. Webbing, grommets, and attachment points are as in the photo. The color is a nice buff / cream that is very attractive and light. There is one seam to seal (suck it up, kids, it's just one! Grab a beer and some seam grip on a nice day and get to it). I haven't used this tarp in the rain yet, but it appears to be the same material as a tent fly. My husband's tarp got tacky when left in the stuff sack too long so I think that it is silicon coated nylon, not silicon impregnated. The guy lines are crappy. You'll probably want to replace them. The tent pegs are okay, but don't have much of a hook so you'll need to knot the guy lines around them to keep them stable. All in all, this is a great buy on a square, flat cut tarp that should work fine as a lightweight backpacking shelter or sun shade. I have slept in this tarp in below zero temps several times and found it actually traps your body heat rather well, due to it being a heavier fabric than a lot of UL tarps on the market. It also provides good shade. It is difficult to get a tight pitch on it because the material has no stretch, but due to the design it should be versatile enough for a variety of pitches. It is just barely not big enough to use as a rain fly for my Thermarest hammock. It is big enough for two people and gear sleeping on the ground.

Tarp itself is pretty good quality by my eyes
Tarp itself is pretty good quality by my eyes. Worked well in light rain. I would say the rope that comes with it is pretty bad but replacing it with some parachute cord it a quick fix. I would also say the amount of rope that came with this limits the set up options so adding extra will increase the ways to set this up. The stakes are a nice quality but with only 4, it limits the set up options. I would recommend taking this tarp out with 8 stakes to give you the maximum options. The stuff sacks this comes appears to be well made and should last if treated well.

I really like this tarp
I really like this tarp, I got it on a deal for $19, my review is going to reflect how good it is for that price, and for that price I would by it again. It held up to strong winds during a tropical storm at Great Smokey Mountains National park, all night I heard it flapping and snapping in the wind. Most of the gye lines were affixed to trees that night, but two were on stakes, I had to restake one during the night that came out of the ground, not a fault to the tarp or stake. For $20 a real value, yes you can spend more and get a lighter or higher quality tarp, but this is a lighter and stronger tarp than most I've seen and the price was great.

5.0 out of 5.0 for the seller.
I received my tarp with manufacturing defects on all of the center pull-outs, which made me question the quality control of the seller in general. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me a replacement at no cost which did not have the defects. Excellent support and would do business with them in the future, just for this reason. In terms of the tarp, the weight of the material is "appropriate" for backpacking, but perhaps a little more heavy than an ultra-lighter may want. At 9x9 I can make several decent enclosed shelters in an emergency of decent size and have been able to pitch it with tight tension in various configurations. The tie-out locations could be more convenient for some pitches, and a pullout in the exact center would be nice. Also this tarp isn't exactly square, but it's pretty close that is of little concern generally. The stakes are a nice addition, but four is not enough for many free-standing enclosed pitches. Better guy-line, more, or reflective guy-line would be appreciated, and I expected reflective guyline tied to the holes in the stakes as is typical. I don't consider any of these aspects negatives since for the price, I consider those items purely "extra" anyway, and it doesn't hurt to have more stakes lying around.

DO NOT BUY!!!
This tarp is totally unusable. The guy outs in the middle of the tarp are improperly sewn. None of them were stitched to the actual tarp. Instead the needle punched holes right through the middle of the tarp. I know it's a cheap tarp, but it's totally worthless. I'm sending it back right now.
