I can’t speak for the efficacy of this item since I just started my foster cat on this in last month but at least I can get him to take it mixed in his food. Had no luck w prescription milk thistle since it be easier to cut my leg off than getting him to swallow it. It’s much cheaper than the RX one and easy to use ALTHOUGH I wish they would make the dosing directions easier. Embarrassed to say I had to text my “wasband” and ask him. lol. I wasn’t sure about the bacon flavor but he tolerates it mixed in baby food. Just hoping when we get new blood work done his liver values will be better 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

(pictures eating food and laying on blanket are before & at the start of using this product, two photos of him with a string are from today 6/2/2021). this company is a MIRACLE. three years ago, i used their kidney products to save my dogs life, who the vet recommended we put down as there was nothing else they could do for him. i recently moved into a new home and my 5 year old cat began losing weight and stopped eating entirely, even his favorite treats. he lost 4 pounds and was so skinny that i could feel each individual bump on his spine and his fur on his back stood up and was spikey. when i took him to the vet, we thought it may be a dental issue because he was trying to eat but would drop anything he put in his mouth. bloodwork revealed that he was developing a fatty liver and the vet recommended that i force feed him. i did it for a few weeks without seeing much improvement or weight gain and after an emotional breakdown with my boyfriend over our sweet baby’s declining health, i realized i needed to check this company’s products and find something for the liver. i began to mix it in with the liquid food i was force feeding him and i am not joking when i tell you that his personality started coming back after the first use. he had been depressed and hiding in closets for weeks and that all stopped after his first dose. it has now been about a month and i am so so grateful that i have my cat back. he has put weight back on, he is eating normally again, he plays and acts like his normal self. please please do not give up on your animals before giving this company a chance. they have literally saved two of my pets lives now. my cat will he getting his liver enzymes rechecked in a few months but all of the symptoms he was displaying before have left. i cannot spread enough good words about this company and i am begging you to give them a try before you believe that there is nothing left. when my dog went back to the vet after using the kidney products, they were baffled and said it was a miracle that he was alive and recovering. this company is a godsend ❤️

Bought this as an alternative to the powered milk thistle in the capsule that my vet recommended but my cat wouldn’t touch in his food. He will eat this in a lickable treat we just give half a dose per half a treat twice a day and he gets the full dose. We haven’t taken him in for blood work since giving him the liquid milk thistle but he hasn’t had any poop problems since taking it and seems to feel better so we take that as a good sign. Will continue to purchase this.

Motor was 1 of the 5 cats i took in when their owner died, his family was going to have them euthanized. They had been left alone in his house for months, only getting dry food and water, and he was hiding, not eating or drinking hardly. When I got him, he was jaundiced, even his eyes and skin were yellow from liver failure. I was told he would die. A vet told me to get milk thistle, and he has been taking it every day for 2 years now. He'd have been dead except for this product. It's bitter, he doesn't like it, but it works!

My male cat Tito is 14 years old and he has high liver enzymes. He has been having episodes. It looks like if a cat is chasing a laser light in circles then you stop and the cat is dizzy. He has been falling over a lot. I took him to the vet, had blood workup and they did X-rays. They want to do an ultrasound but $500.00 is out my range right now. So I found Milk Thistle reading about cats with this problem. So far he has not had an episode which is wonderful considering he was having up 15 a night. I talked with my vet before doing this and she said it won't hurt him. She understands the cost of the tests and I had just put down my 20 year old cat and was just broke from all of her care on top of my Tito. I am going to take him back to the vet in about 3 weeks to get a new blood test and see where he is at after having the milk thistle. I will come back after the vet visit and update Tito on here after I get the blood results. He may be having episodes at night but he sleeps with me and usually when he has one he gets up right away and tries to run, but he is falling over. It just breaks my heart seeing that, but so far he seems to be responding to this. He hates the taste of it but one drop a pound and he is 9 1/2 pounds so I measured out how many drops and squirt it in his mouth real fast. He is eating and drinking also which some cats stop eating with high liver enzymes.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get any of my 3 cats to ingest this. One of my cats has liver problems, so I bought it for her and she wouldn't eat it no matter what I tried. I even mixed it with juice from a can of tuna (no salt added), and syringe fed it to her, and she frothed at the mouth and spit it out. That's how I can get cats to take most liquid medicines unless the medicine tastes really bad, so my cat thought this stuff tasted really bad. My other 2 cats who normally eat all sorts of stuff, including Denamarin pills as another test, wouldn't touch this stuff. So I can't attest to how well this works on helping a pet's liver since I couldn't get my cat to eat it. I ordered the powdered form of milk thistle Starwest Botanicals Organic Milk Thistle Seed Powder, 1 Pound and all three of my cats will eat the powdered milk thistle when I mix it with dried chicken liver powder. The powdered form of milk thistle is a lot cheaper than this product as well.
