The media could not be loaded.  After watching and reading about these new black masks everywhere to get the perfect no blackheads skin.. I thought to give this Black Mask a try and see the results myself. Here's what I did and what I felt. Also I am writing this in step process.PLEASE START WITH THIS MASK THING ONLY IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST AN HOUR TIME OR MORE THAN THAT. This really takes up a lot of time and patience.Step 1: Open your facial poresTo increase the effectiveness of your mask, you need to open up your facial pores so you can take Steam bath or place towel dipped in warm water on your face. It can take about 5-7 minutes to open up the pores. Step 2: Apply the MaskApply in circular motion for deeper penetration into pores.The activated charcoal mask is sticky and difficult to apply, but make sure that you get the perfect layer on your skin: Thin enough so that it can dry, but thick enough that it actually picks up whatever is inside your pores. I applied a thick layer as per email from the seller and it took me almost 35-45 minutes to get the mask dry. And still on peeling, it was wet from inside at many places so I will suggest a thin layer.Step 3: Now Wait for drying maskIdeally, the mask should dry in about 15-20 minutes. But again it varies depending on how thick your layer is. So be patient enough as the whole mask process can take upto an hour as well. Step 4: Remove the Maskwhen the mask is dries up, it turns from gray color to black color. Try to peel the mask by peeling in upward direction to get the most dirt out. It might hurt a little on removal if you have facial hair. It doesn't peel out in one single layer as I have seen in those fancy model videos but comes apart in patches. I did feel a stretching process when i peeled it off. Step 5: Wash your faceAfter you peeled off the mask, wash your face with lukewarm water to remove any leftover mask on your face and pat it dry.Step 6: Moisturize your SkinI will suggest after you're done with this mask, apply your regular night cream or moisturizer to keep the skin moisturized as it can make the skin dry after its application. My skin seemed little drier after this so I applied my night moisturizer Cetaphil cream.

The smell of this is not really strong, but it is kind of fruity and latex like-so if one is sensitive to smells, they might want to take that into consideration. It isn't super unpleasant though. The consistency is pretty runny, when I applied it with my hands it got all over the place. It has a little grit to it, but nothing really major or anything that one would notice to much. I would suggest using a mask or face brush to apply it. It takes about 25-40 minutes to completely dry and I would suggest that one uses a fairly thick layer when applying, keeping in mind that the thinner the layer, of course the faster the dry time. The peel off is very easy, however if your skin is super sensitive, it may sting a bit. The little bit of left over residue was easily removed using a warm wet wash cloth (or one can use their hands and warm water). Keep in mind that this mask does contain an acne treating product so it may be a bit drying and one will have to use moisturizer. Overall I did like the mask and I would suggest it to anyone that would like to try it.

I have been wanting to try some of the bamboo charcoal mask I'm hearing about. I've been reading about how it is being used for skin brightening and clearing. Since I just had a baby, my complexion has been a little compromised for the last few months. I really wanted to use bamboo charcoal since it's natural and easy on sensitive skin, and it has so many benefits. My husband (being ever-so-sweet and thoughtful!) found this mask for me to try, and I am glad he did! The mask arrived quickly and was sealed well to prevent leaks. We order a lot through Amazon, and have had a few leaky products come through the mail, so I always make sure to check and comment on this in my reviews.The bottle was smaller than I anticipated, but after reading the back of the bottle I realized this is formulated specially for the "T zone", so it makes sense that you won't need as much. I would say it is safe to use on your whole face (I did without any problems). The mask is supposed to be left on for about 15 minutes, and then you can peel it off. Since I used it on my whole face, I spread out thinner than directed. It is a very thick solution, which is good: a little will go a long way! I could not peel the mask when I was done, but that is probably because of the fact that I spread it thin. Of course, as worth any drying mask, you're going to have the itchy feeling as it dries. This is to be expected.Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about this bamboo charcoal mask! I really like the way it made my skin feel and look. The next morning I even noticed that my complexion is bright and more "back to normal"! So, I'm glad that I tried it for my whole face, but I'm definitely just going to do "spot" treatments in between whole-face treatments to give myself a little brightening/clearing boost when needed. This will help save me product and money. With that being said, this is a good mask for the price. There are others that are more costly, and I like knowing this product is more on the natural side of the spectrum without any animals being harmed in the making of the product.If anything changes with this mask I'll update this review. I gave a different brand one to my nephew, and this one went to my niece. Both are in their teens and I figured that this was best tested by them. I think that both products are very comparable and good. My niece was thrilled to pieces with the product and had never heard of charcoal masks. She tried it the same evening I gave it to her and she was super happy with the result. She has a small acne problem so she is always trying to improve her skin.From her experience:- feels very clean afterwards- cool looking black mask ;)- slight tingling when applying it, she said she could feel it working- easy to peel off- very exfoliating- use a good moisturizer after use as your skin will be drained from all oils
