Well, I had to return these. I wish I had read all the reviews, because as at least one other reviewer noted, despite what the pictures appear these do not have lids. The pictures where it looks like a lid, is actually just the cup upside down I guess. This might be fine if you also purchase the case that they show in the picture, but without that it makes the cups virtually useless. They will not stay closed if you put them in a purse or bag and would get dirty in a pocket or bag as well. I do think they would work fine if you put them in a case of some sort, but that is not what I was looking for. Just be aware before you purchase what you are getting.

The media could not be loaded.  Great for travel. I use these for my cocktail mix set up and it’s been cool yet exciting to bring these out. It’s almost like a charm and gets people going. The only problem is that you must be sure to let whoever know that it’s important to hold the cup rather than placing down. Otherwise you have a spilled drink. Tested it out with water and no positive results by placing down while filled with liquid.

It takes a bit of finessing to get the "pieces" to stay put when you expand the shot glass. There's no locking mechanism whatsoever, just hope they stick to one another. However, once you set the shot glass down 9 out of 10 times it will collapse - spilling anything you just poured in! So, don't set it down! And then if all goes right, now you have to hope it doesn't start to collapse when you tip the shot glass to shoot your tequila...I wouldn't recommend...it's too much worry for what's supposed to be a simple thing.

THe description says four, but I only received two of them and the box was all crushed and open.Edit: A new package was sent to me and all four were included. I like these cups. You pull them up and then twist at the top for the cup to stay. Then when you want to collapse it again you can untwist and flatten.

I am returning your product because it doesn't have any caps on the tops... For some, that won't be a problem; but for me, it's important... I've ordered replacements from another provider that do have caps when the cup is recessed... My cups will be in a backpack and talking to others who've used similar cups without caps they can open easily and be bent with relatively minor movement... The caps keep the cups clean and restrict their opening unexpectedly... Nothing is perfect, but the caps do help reduce the probability of unexpected damage, and, once bent, they can never operate as designed... For my use, I need cups in a confirmed and secure enclosure...

Does the trick, bought them for birdie juice on the golf course. Works great, just a little trouble with cleaning them, but definitely worth buying.

They are functional, sturdy & light, but there is no cap when it is collapsed. Your pocket better be clean, because you are going to taste it if it isn’t. They would be perfect if there was a cap connected to the base by a beaded chain.
