Image on this bracelet is inspired by a story of a young fisherman who went out upon the sea and no fish at all was there for him, only a little Mermaid was there lying asleep. When he touched her, she gave a cry and looked at him in terror but he held her tightly to him. She made him the promise he desired, he loosened his arms and she sank down into the water. Every evening he called her and she rose out of the water and sang to him. She never come near him that he might touch her but as she sang, all the funny-fish came in from the deep to listen to her, and the young Fisherman caught them and then the Mermaid would sink down into the sea. This bracelet piece that can be worn either up or down is available in medium size - 1 3/8" (34 mm) high, with a 2 5/8" (68 mm) inner diameter that fits most women. All my contemporary resin bracelet cuffs are handcrafted. There is a waterproof base print that can be washed in warm water and dried with a cloth.
