I bought it as a gift, so pardon my lack of knowledge if this is a dumb question :)** A: You would probably do best with one you hang the guitar on. **Q: Does the white turn yellow over time? Does the black satin get glossy spots from playing? Trying to decide between the two.** A: I believe the white is polyurethane and that it does not change color. My only 2 objections but note that this is very personal, might not apply to everyone. 1. The strap at the neck section is not at the usual location. Being in the back of the guitar it made it lean forward to much for me and made it a little uncomfortable to play. 2. Playing sitting down, weigh is more heave in the back making the guitar lean backwards all the time. Wish it was a little more balance then it is or even make it lean a little more to the front. I will call James to let him know.
