It's too bad that politics get in the way of young musicians, who deserve exposure to the United States, when they happen to live in Cuba. Harold Lopez Nussa made a brief trip to tour the United States last year and dazzled audiences. When you listen to this CD, you will understand why. Chucho Valdez is the patriarch of Cuban piano music, and Harold Lopez Nussa is the future. He is a tremendous writer, a wonderful pianist, and he has made several great records, including "New Day". Let's not forget his brother Ruy Adrian Lopez Nussa, who is one of the finest young drummers on the planet as well. Let's hope that we will have the pleasure of seeing them tour in the United States very soon. Explosive would be an understatement, when it comes to these two brothers. Great music!
