PunchPlugPunchPlug Door Lock Elimination Kit for F150 97-14 SuperDuty 99-16

So my truck has been broken into twice this year...I decided to just get rid of the useless door lock altogether (thieves simply punch a screwdriver into your door lock and pry the tip upward and any car door is instantly unlocked) I found this little gem while looking for my window regulator lol! I bought this AND a Jimmy Jammer plate for the inside of the door. Removing the door handle is a little tricky so be careful not to break the little plastic clips that hold all the actuator rods. The plug easily installs in place of the door lock assembly - simply remove the lock, then place the plug in the hole and slide the hold down bar in the lock slots where the cylinder was; then install the screw. Pretty simple.

Very easy installation. Just seems cheaply made.

Install is rough BUT definitely worth it. Go on YouTube and search for stolen f250 and you’ll see how easy it is for them to defeat your door lock.

bends VERY easily - I didn't even notice any resistance when I was tightening the screw, then realized I was bending the metal tab part ... not sure it'd sustain much from a thief trying to punch it in. Also, it was shipped in such a way that the threads of the screw scratched up the plug pretty bad - I'm not too worked up about cosmetic issues, but some/most want something they bought new to arrive in new condition

What I liked about it was nothing what I dislike about it was it didn't work it says it plugs a damaged hole underneath your door handle and it doesn't work falls right through they don't tell you what size when you order it and then in the picture they show it covering a door lock hole in the handle I could see it working there but that's not what I was doing

This requires you to remove the whole door opening handle and gives no instruction on how to remove the lock link rod so it does not interfere with the operation of the door lock and opening mechanism once the handle is reinstalled with the punchplug.

Bought this so no one could pop the door locks and steal my pride and joy. Now if someone wants in they will have to break a window out, which makes noise and gets the attention of others..

This item is made to fit my truck, however, the description refers to pictures (not shown) that would have helped me know that it would not work for my situation. Really needs a better description and the pictures referred to but not shown.
