perfect for beginners
only had this a day for welding rotton sills. able to make strong welds in less than an hour. struggled with an arc welder for years should have gotten mig sooner. the dials for mig show current in amps (not feed rate) and the voltage is not displayed but can obviously be adjusted. there is no card to show suggested settings so advise chatgpt for current and then set voltage based on the sound the welding makes. i guess you pay more for knowing those specific values. not sure of there is a way of adding a voltage meter. the box and leads feel high quality so no complaints there although only had it one day see how it holds up. its compact and looks great which i really like. it has 13 amp plug and tripped my garage rccb which not had before with arc welder not sure why but fine of extention from within house. highly recommend this if you need to make solid welds with no welding experience especially if youve struggled to strike an arc with an arc welder.

Great product!!
I am a pipefitter welder and have been welding for a couple years now. I was looking for a light bit of kit to do some simple home projects, this does the job perfectly! Great value for money and really easy to setup. The manual is abit useless but there it’s easy to find and follow quick videos. Would definitely recommend for small home projects. I was also very surprised how well the mug welded thin stainless steal. I would definitely recommend buying some 1mm wire.

Great wee welder
Great wee welder. have used it for welding on the subframe and new sils. does the job perfectly. the only thing that stopped this being 5 stars was that the mig torch is a little prone to jamming up.

Had a fair use over the summer
I really researched which one to buy, to be honest this is really good at the price, I have only used in the cored gasless mig mode and to be honest its really good for DIY and I have been impressed with the weld quality I can achieve.Had an issue where the wire came out thru the liner, that was just due to miss feed and easily resolved - keep the wire and umbilical straight when feeding the wire into it at welder end.Instructions a bit lacking, when you adjust the power it makes a auto adjust to the feed rate slightly, best bet is to have a go and with time you kind of understand how the parameters are changing.Good for hobby and home use with clean steel, was able to spot weld old mower deck very well.

Great wee welder - UPDATE FAIL
I bought this with doubts.( UPDATE - seems like my glowing review was premature.machine failed after a couple of days and the larger replacement ( hitbox too) failed after 10 mins - see my other review)How can you buy a Mig/tig/mma welder for under £150 let alone a decent one?My doubts were worsened when it arrived. It is tiny!I grumbled about it as I put in the wire, and set it up for a quick test and practice - before I started the job I bought it for.My doubts fell away in use. This is great value for money, and I’ve just welded 8 off , 40mm mild steel tube to 8mm flat plate to start making up the balustrades for my front entrance stairway. No real problems and although it might not be good for building battleships, it’ll come for anything I have to do.I’m an ex engineer to trade, but haven’t welded anything for about 30 years but it came back right away like welding a bike 😂😂It worked straight out of the box , and the only niggle I have it the ground/ earth clamp - it’s too flimsy and has already bent. But I’ll replace that later. I’m Not taking off any points for that.Comes with a couple of spare nibs and a wire brush, but unusually for these wee machines, no welders helmet. ( I bought one from Amazon , and that’s great too)I used to have an old Draper Mig, a massive thing, which was temperamental, and having used this one, I Don’t have any regrets about buying it ….. although I don’t know how long it will last, but I won’t be overusing or abusing it.All in all , if it breaks down after this job, I’ve still saved about £1000 doing the job myself.

Cheap but cheerful
The welder took a little a bit of fiddling about to set up but seems to work ok as a mig welder.Feed the wire through the machine and wire feeder pulley and out the front then feed into the torch before connecting the torch cable to the machine it was easier this way as the wire kept snagging when allowing the wire feeder to push the wire through itself. Other than that it works ok. First time I’ve used a flux core but I’m happy with it. It’s a hobby welder not a commercial in any way.

brilliant little welder
once you get used to the settings you need its a great welder for the cost its so light to carry, my old mig was terrible compared to this, its a bit fiddley to get the wire fed but once its in no problems at all
