The Aartisan Women Genuine Full Grain Leather Tote Shoulder Bag, Office Handbag

I received this tote as a gift. I like it very much! The leather is soft and pliable, not stiff at all. It is sewn together well, and looks like it will hold up very well.

I actually really do love this bag, I've been wanting a Madewell one for quite sometime but always felt like I was paying so much just for a name.....Sadly, less than a month after using this one the seams are splitting and there is a hole on the side of my bag. I'll have to pay a good amount to have it fixed professionally since my sewing machine cannot handle leather. I'm really sad about it, this is a beautiful bag, but I've had cheaper purses that held up for longer. Hoping it doesn't start falling apart in more places. :(

The black bag came today and was nicely wrapped in a muslin bag and tissue paper and is lovely. The black is a charcoal and I really like everything about it except it has a really strong smell. I put it in a spare bedroom to air out but now that part of the house stinks so I moved it to the screened in porch. Will see in a few days if it stills smells. I bought a beautiful bag from Sundance catalog once that after months still smelled and they took it back.The color is fabulous, black with a waxy creased look that gives it an overall charcoal look. The reviewer who posted a picture of her black bag prompted me to get the black and mine looks just like hers. Thank you!Edited to add that I sent it back. The odor never lessened.

Nice design and shape, but it feels really stiff more than I wanted. It feels kind of pleathery. Hopefully, over time it will be more subtle if it's real leather. I really need a brown purse and love the size and zipper top.

Many people are raving about this bag but I'm not sure why. The one I received is very stiff, not pliable at all and the outside looks more like pleather than real leather. I put this item on a wish list months ago but it became unavailable. Then it became available again and I purchased it. I think I got a totally different item. While the price is not bad for a leather bag, I would not pay more than $20 for the bag I received.

Craftsmanship is fantastic, the leather is so supple and smells wonderful. I look forward to being able to use for years and pass it down to my Daughter and granddaughter.UPDATE: March 17, 2020This purse has survived numerous trips in cars and airplanes. It's like brand new still. I love the feel of the leather and the character the natural flaws in the leather it gives. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely purse. EMOwen

I was a little hesitant to buy this since there weren’t any reviews. I am very impressed with the quality of leather for the price!! I bought an insert organizer and it’s perfect!! I am using for my everyday bag, and I also like that it can fit my laptop although I don’t plan to do that very often. It will be a great bag for traveling also!

I have been using this bag daily since March (it's July now) and even traveled with it and used it for work conferences. It has held up perfectly, it's spacious without being bulky. On the plane I can fit my laptop, a sweater, water bottle, headphones, snacks and then some. It really is super versatile, comfortable to wear and really good quality.My only reason for knocking off 1 star is because the color isn't true to what they showed in the photos - at least for the black option. I expected it to be jet black, but the color is more of a dark gray/slate color? (You can see it in the photo - this was taken in natural light without a flash). I don't mind the color, but it is not exact to what they have shown.
