However, the included pipe plugs were either too small or not tapered pipe thread. They would screw all the way in until bottoming out on the inner casting with little resistance. I was able to reused a plug from my old elbow that worked correctly & the other was a plain steel pipe plug from the lumber yard. (not recessed but didn't care.) Otherwise the casting appears good & fit in place correctly. No leaks or issues on the first couple of warm up cycles.
