Five stars for a reason! O
Arrived perfectly healthy. Got extras, I think it was 8 (forgot to count.. plus it's a heavily planted tank... but because I had to wait about 2-3 extra days (no longer than 3 though) before putting them into my tank (had stitches & couldn't do a water change. for a lot longer than I wanted to), & because the tank was in need of a water change & I didn't wanna put them in the tank until they had (the usual) perfect parameters.. so fortunately for me, they survived well in the bag they were shipped in. (Which if they hadn't, it would've been my own fault). At this point, I have at least 50 now.. they bred, laid eggs, lots of babies now, and the original snails are still trucking along! The babies - TINY! - are almost clear! They are so cute! The adults (& a couple babies too - although most haven't figured this trick out yet - they are only a couple weeks old after all!) really like hitching a ride on my mystery snail's backs! It is sooo funny! The other entertaining thing to watch, was them getting accustomed to "walking" over the (Tahitian Moon) sand.. I hope this doesn't sound cruel, but you can tell it feels VERY weird to them, the way their foot curls up! And it was so funny to watch (mysteries did the same too at first). But after a few days (definitely not even a week), they get used to it, & fly all over the place across the sand (& glass, & plants)! Love these gals/guys! They are so pretty! Seriously! And very blue! A few of the younger ones even have leopard spots, which I enjoy looking at! I could stare at them all day lol.The shipping was fast, the way Amazon had the "ship by"/"arrive by" date - it had me worried, because they are live animals being shipped by the post office! **But! Don't stress over the Amazon "ship by" date, like I did... I got them earlier than stated, & they all arrived very healthy, & were moving around the tank the minute I put them in (**even with MY delay...) so I'm just saying these guys are healthy! Five stars for a reason!Oh, ok, the one single "complaint" I have: they also included calcium pills.. which, believe me, the intention was truly great! But, when I put one in.. it clouded my water soo bad! And melted immediately into the driftwood it landed on (tried moving it off the wood, made it disentigrate further), & the rest of it melted into my sand.. Eventually, by the next water change (5 days later) it had mostly dissolved into the water.. but there were still signs it had been there.. white spot on driftwood, and after the next waterchange it dissolved further, & there was absolutely no trace that it had been there, so really, no harm done! Just unsightly. I have plants that need calcium too, so it was readily used up! (crypts). The snails (these, & my mysteries), probably munched on it as well, only saw one go for it, but I can't watch the tank all the time.. sadly lol.. because I'd love to with all the pretty snails in there! If Kazen Aquatics had found a better calcium pill, then I'd have given them 6 stars (I know, not that many), because it's truly a great idea, awesome intention! All of this said.. I certainly wouldn't dream of deducting a star because of a calcium pill that didn't really cause any (especially not any serious) problems at all!

Not So Blue Snails
The sails that came to me looked nothing like the pictures in this ad. They were shipped in a plastic jar wrapped to protect them. The jar was leaking water. The snails inside had no food. Their shells were flaking. Their color blueish grey. (These pictures of mine are after I had the snails a couple of weeks. Thier shells were much improved. I wanted to give them a chance to see if their color would change, thinking that it was the stress of shipment.)I contacted the seller with my complaint. He wanted to see pictures. He said that they were fine. He offered me a full refund if I returned the snails and they arrived alive. I did not like the idea of returning them. I expected him to just send me five more snails that look like the pictures in the ad, but I guess he really does not have them. I thought if I mailed them back and they died or he claim that they died then I would just have nothing anyway. This was my expirence, I hope you find it helpful.

Cute baby snails plus a few extra.
Once in some water the snails popped out and started moving. So the seller sent extra snails which was awesome. Thank you for the bonus snails I have 8 new snails hanging around. They really love the piece of driftwood I have near a bubble stone.Thank you Kazen Aquatic. I will totally keep you in mind for future snails.Take care

Arrived alive & all went to work immediately!
I regretted buying live animals during shutdown of Santa Barbara, where I live. Amazon brings such instant gratification I forgot they need roads! But, once the lil guys showed up I was relieved they all made it safe and sound.Seller sent more than ordered and every snail was hungry to munch algae. I had immediate questions that were addressed by Seller within the hour and quickly got the lil guys happy and settled. Two frequently double up fighting, or the other f-word, and we have had to pull a comfy chair to the tank; they are so fascinating to watch the showoff Betta seems to know he's got competition for our attention! They have grown quickly and all but the smallest juvenile show a lovely blue color under led plant lights. The calcium pills sent with the snails were too large for my tank, and I have since learned that they are not necessary for water naturally hardened by calcium, which we have in S.B. I counter mineral buildup by topping off evaporative loss with distilled DI water and performing 1/2 gal changes weekly.Tank: 5 gal fluval specOther fauna: 1 Betta fishFlora: ground cover plants in substrate and lots of invasive algae.

Alive and well
Snails were alive and well, but coloration varied. Only one was as blue as the picture. I purchased red ones as well. And same result. Healthy and active but only one really red one.

DO NOT BUY!
I ordered these snails after seeing all the great reviews people gave this company. I placed my order on Monday and finally received the snails the next Monday; an ENTIRE week later. As you can see by the pictures, all the snails, 9 of them total, were very dead. The smell was absolutely atrocious. All the shells were rotting and crumbled when I tried to pick them off the paper towel they were shipped in. The snails were shipped via USPS and wrapped in a paper towel surrounded by newspaper. Let this be a warning for anyone who is thinking about ordering from this company because I cannot believe that I am the only one who has had an issue especially with the way they are shipping these snails.

Recieved my snails yesterday,2 out of the 5 arrived alive. I bought them with malaysian trumpet snails, and it would appear a couple of those had passed aswell. Not sure about the packaging.. in the picture you can see them just floating, that was right when i got them.
