Is blue kote just a protective covering? can an anti-fungal, antiseptic (chlorhexadine) penetrate the blue kote?

I think its a little more than just a protective coating as it is an antiseptic and fungicidal product itself. I have used this product for wounds with and without bandages and for thrush issues, after a thorough washing with chlorhexidine and drying of the affected area. I bought this specific pump spray bottle because I find its easier to deal with than either the aerosol or the dauber version, but all versions do the same things.

How long does it take to wear off your dog?

A week maybe 2 depending on where it is. How quickly it wears off. It works very well, I will say that.

How long does it take to dry?

I would say about 10 minutes. U do not need a lot. A couple light spray pumps to the area. I apply it to the animal outside so my furniture and carpet don’t get stained. Wear gloves and I have even petted my dog and cat while using a blow dryer on a low setting to make sure the area is dry. Hope that helps!

is it good for small breed dogs?

It is good for cuts on any size animal. I use it on my horses hooves to treat thrush. Wash and dry thoroughly. This pump spay is the best of all the different versions of this medication because it stays where you put it. Just be careful, this can get all over everything and leave blue spots that are difficult to get out. so, if your dog jumps on furniture or on you, you will be blue.
