A Whole New Paradigm
Road to Recovery from Parkinson's Diseasechanges the ball game. Like most people with PD, when I was diagnosed, I was told I had an incurable, degenerative disease with no hope of finding a cure soon enough to impact my situation. Every morning I woke up hoping and praying I'd done enough (i.e. exercise, yoga, nutrition) to keep the PD from progressing. It feels like being in a fight you know you're going to loose. (And people wonder why people with PD get depressed.)After reading the book, I wake up happy, wondering what new technique I'm going to try to deal with these symptoms! It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. In addition to presenting all the alternative methods of dealing with symptoms of PD and the success stories of the people who've overcome their symptoms, this book gives you HOPE. I no longer feel I'm in a fight I can't win--I'm winning.Nam

Detailed, Clear, Cutting Edge
This is by far the best book I have ever sen yet on dealing with dis-eases like Parkinsons', etc. The book is filled with ideas, treatments, references, actual accounts, and most importantly, how to contact the the recommended product suppliers and the author for help. He is a wonderful guy who called me the day after I emailed him.If you are dealing with any dis-ease, get this book, read it from cover to cover, take notes, and get yourself back on the road to health.

While there is no cure for Parkinson's Disease at this ...
While there is no cure for Parkinson's Disease at this time, this book gives a very uplifting feel to the reader. There are things that can be done in addition to traditional medicine to help the patient with this insidious disease.

I was a little disappointed.
It is not going to cure PD. It simply offers supplements & sources to buy them. It is rather helter skelter in it's approach, with short paragraphs of various relief methods. I was a little disappointed.

Excellent book
This is an excellent book providing non-drug options and gives people hope of recovering. Another good web site is PDrecovery .org.

SELF-HEALTH for Parkinson's?
Very informative from a perspective of SELF-HEALTH - each of these techniques has been vetted by Dr. Rodgers. With so many people being erroneously diagnosed as having Parkinson's, we need credible information about additional options and resources.

Road to recovery from Parkinson's disease
By his own admission, the author is not from a medical background and I think this makes the content accessible and easy to follow from a lay persons point of view. The positive stand towards recovery taken in the book is uplifting and encourages one to take self responsibility for ones own management of the condition without necessarily abandoning conventional treatments. Experimentation in terms of using the various alternative remedies mentioned, is actively encouraged by the author, albeit some of these sound somewhat outlandish. There are numerous links given in the book for further advise and references given to contact support groups and classes. There is however a strong emphasis on North America in this respect which might be less useful to those elsewhere in the world. If you are generally an advocate of trying out alternative approaches to health then this book may be for you. Certainly conventional medical knowledge does not appears to hold the answers to the underlying causes of Parkinson at this stage, so the ideas contained in this book are in my view equally valid and worthy of serious consideration.

Not really useful
The book is a collection of Q&As and ads for various websites. The author has obviously been paid to mention these websites in his book.Information in the Q&A section is all over the place and doesn’t focus on a plan to recovery for PD.The title is misleading. At first you’ll think its a guideline to recovery but later on as you read on you realize it is just a collection of information easily found on internet. Not good
