Ditch this opaque lock.... get a clear one. BUT - buy this one just to get the flag!!!
Yes it works. IF you can know for sure that your gimble is in it properly. But it's opaque so you can't know that.I found a clear one..... identical but not 3D printed AND I can see to line my gimble up and lock it in. This is actually not easy to do, which tells me that there MUST have been a bunch of times where my Mavic was riding around with a loose gimble.BUT - I kept the "remove before flight" flag and put it on the clear one I bought. EXCELLENT move, because I can't tell you how many times I thought I was ready to fly but wasn't because I didn't take of the dang lock/protector. Plus....the flag is kinda cool ;)

I would not have purchased this had I known it was 3d printed. looks very unprofessional and it broke as a took it out of the packaging. To be clear it is still useable, but not for long. it came apart at the 3d printed layer. only a matter of time till it splits in half.

Great concept
Very useful. Hard to forget to take the hood off before flight with this cover. It is somewhat difficult to get it on quickly and accurately but that is due to the design of the gimbal on the drone itself.

I powered up my drone a couple of times before removing the stock lens hood (not a good idea). With this I never forget. It takes awhile to figure out how to put it on but if it saves my camera it's worth it.
