Great upgrade or replacement for your wifi needs
I know when dealing with computers the technical specifications can get a little confusing, so I’ll do a nice blend for the tecchies and for the layman. First things first. Getting a more advanced wifi adapter will not do anything for you if your ISP (internet service provider, i.e. AT&T, Suddenlink) is not giving you fast internet speed in the first place. First rule of computers to remember, you’re only as fast as your slowest component. My ISP is AT&T and they provide 45 Mbps. That means, at the most, I can get 45 million bits per second. However, that’s never the case, especially living in a townhome. My neighbors who also have AT&T are benefiting from the same broadband I am. So when they’re online, all our internet drags. There’s also wifi harmonics that will lower everyone’s wifi regardless of ISP.That being said, let’s take a gander at my set up. I’m testing this wireless adapter on a Dell Latitude E6340. My adapter is a Dell Wireless 1504 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz). I’ve tested the old wifi adapter the laptop came with compared to this new one. I used a standard speed test found online and the results are as follows:Ping: 29Download: 17 MbpsUpload: 5.6 MbpsNot too shabby. Now here are the results for the dual band 802.11 ac 433/150Mbps (5.8GHz-2.4GHz)Ping: 38Download: 14.94 MbpsUpload: 5.18 MbpsAlso, not too shabby. Now there may be factors outside my control that may have affected these numbers. All in all, this is a solid wifi adapter if you need to upgrade to a newer version or if your old wifi adapter crapped out on you. The profile is about twice as large as my wireless mouse USB transmitter, but that’s not a big deal either. I can use the wifi anywhere in the townhome without any lag. The price is also pretty standard when compared to other adapters. Unless you have a super-fast computer with 1Gbps ISP internet, this is a perfectly good adapter to buy.

Amazing, Just Buy It!
First of all, I have Comcast. The speed i should get is 75mbps. Of course that can only be achieved with an Ethernet cable or if you're right next to it but my computer is in our finished basement and the wifi router is upstairs in the living room. Needless to say, it's a good distance away.Attached I have photos of the results. The first picture is the result of the Speedtest without using this product. The second picture is the results when using the product. It multiplied my internet speed by over 100!The 2 and 3rd pictures are to show how sleek and small it is. Despite its size, it packs a punch!I would also like to say how good of a value it is. The results in the first picture are terrible and I used a pcie wifi adapter that I bought for over $40. This is way cheaper and does way better! Plus all you have to do is plug it into the USB port instead of opening up your computer.Overall, this is a great product. Whether you need to get it to enable wifi on your desktop or you need it to expand the wifi range of your laptop, this is a great pick! I'm happy with it and you will be to!Note: I've had it for two months, so yes, it is very stable.

A powerhouse wifi card at a great price
I got this adapter for my laptop since my laptop is a generation behind on Wifi chips and I was hoping this would boost internet performance. I was not disappointed, I'm able to take advantage of both the 2.4 wave as well as the 5G format wifi's and I can confirm that this device can reach higher speeds than previous generations of wifi can even hope for. What keeps this product from getting a 5 star is the size of the device as it protrudes out of my laptop more than I would like. In addition, while it is plugged in it will flash with a small blue light that can get distracting after awhile. In short, if you are looking to maximize your performance and you are just planning on sticking this into your desktop computer under your desk then this is the device for you. Great price, with performance on par with the more expensive models which is all that really mattered to me. However, as a mobile wifi card it can be a bit large, more than acceptable but something to think about if you already have a tiny laptop and you are constantly moving around and introducing the risk of it falling out in the commotion of daily life.

Incredibly Handy
This little device is incredible. It's very easy to use and works with every device I tried it on. It was very powerful for its size. This is a great way to connect anywhere anytime. Worked on Netgear, Linksys, Motorola, Cisco and every other network I tried. It's dual band worked great I will be keeping oneof these on me at all times. Ot worked on 5.8GHZ as well as 2.8GHZ with all encryption. Worked great with VPN software and all my different networking equipment. It packs a huge bang for its size and price. I would strongly recommend anyine give this device a try and can promise you won't regret it. Great job guys.

Broke in less than a week, USB port now inoperable
Less than a week after beginning to use this item, this item split apart INSIDE my USB port as I tried to pull it out (Photos attached). Now the metal portion of the USB is inside my USB port, unable to be removed. I would give this item zero stars if I could.

Performs poorly!
Very poorly performing device when connecting to 5hz network, the adapter status shows that it connects to the network at 260mbps-433mbps but actual speed tests show upload / download speeds to be in the single digits, my internet is provided by ATT Gigabit service that performs at 342/366mbps on my iphone 7 connected to the same network while older model (built-in) wifi connects at high double digits. This device was tested on two windows 10 computers, Take my word for it, try another product.
