Not sure dual purpose clips are a good idea. Didn’t fit my pots, clay nor plastic, well.
These are from a very well know and reputable orchid house but these didn’t fit my plastic pots, nor my clay pots right — had to adjust each one I used. I’ve use rhizome clips since way back in the 70s and haven’t had this issue. I think they made a mistake trying to make them fit both plastic and clay. I wondered about that but thought it would be fine and I needed clips for both.. They just don’t sit in the pots right, had to bend down quite a bit to not be up in the air. Like I say I’m not new to clips nor orchids and usually you just put where you need them to hold the cattleya rhizome and push it down on the pot side (or gently hammer) and it just settles down on the other side in the bark and hold the plant tight. I made the couple I used work but I could have made myself if I was going to have to go to this much trouble. I won’t buy a dual clip again. If I didn’t have so much trouble with hand strength at 67, it wouldn’t be such an issue bending and fiddling with them but I do. I guess it could be my pots but they are pots that came from orchid grow houses so not something I picked up at some discount store. Beats me! Think twice or be prepared to send back.

I regularly buy from Waldor—they grow great, well-grown orchids. This rhizome clip is an essential piece of repotting cattleyas—easy to bend and clip to the side of either plastic of clay pots. Secures the rhizome to the media surface to prevent plant from jiggling (which can inhibit root production).

simple to use even for beginners
product worked perfect for my orchids. I just started w/orchids so am learning, this product worked just like the pictures looked like in ad. the also worked on my 6 inch pot & some pretty ones that are not standard size also.
