SAS Safety 9814-05 Opti-Fit Supplied-Air Fullface Respirator, Medium

Use daily since receiving. View through lens is good, fit is comfortable, seals tight against face. Minor issue is you cant fit glasses under it comfortably.(not every painter wears glasses so this is not a huge deal.) What is a huge deal is how the inlet hose attaches to the mask. It screws on rt or left side. Doesn't matter what side the hose is attached to it points in the direction of your ear when tight. No adjustment as to where it points when tight, it bottoms out and that's it. Now if your left handed and want the hose on the left not a huge issue because any downward pulling on the hose just tightens it more, hooked on the rt side its a different story. Yep, pull down on the hose a little and it comes loose, real loose. It has big threads so its not like your spinning it 5 times to tighten, maybe 1 1/2 times. I had hose on rt side and it fell off the mask twice while removing it. Poor design. Been using SAS products since opening my shop in the 80's good products but someone dropped the ball on this.

This is a really good hood for the price. My only complaint is a minorly distorted view due to the curve of the face shield. If you were to use this constantly day to day that may get annoying.

good quality respirator...when using this make shur you also purchase a gassless air supply hose and a co2 monitor..or at least have good belt filter..the mask is adjustable and comes with 2 tearoffs you will need to purchase more tearoffs..i think i paid $35.00 for 25
