although the crossbars were adjustable they were not wide enough ...
although the crossbars were adjustable they were not wide enough to fit. So I went to the local hardware store bought 4 - half inch teflon bushings and longer bolts than what came with the bars and mounted them anyhow. I now have a place to hook in my tie down straps.

Too small for 2016 Suburban
I purchased these for my 2016 Suburban and they arrived flawlessly. That is where the good stopped. Even with the adjustable sizing, these are too small to fit into position 1, on the roof. I suppose that you could install it but it would have a gap between the flange and the roof rail. I'm confident this isn't how they are supposed to fit because the flange has inset areas for the roof rails to fit into. It seems to be a gap of about 3/8". ARGGGGHHHH!!!!!
