What in the miracle shoe have I been missing! 😂
Love the shoes. Got them because I needed something for standing around at HHN at universal studios. Read the comments about going up a size so I did. I’m a 7.5 usually but decided on the 8.5-9 wide. Tried them on Sunday when I received them and loved that I had space to keep my feet breathing and I could still keep them on while walking. This was without socks and just around my house. I weigh 115lbs -120 (fluctuating) and my feet are slimmed. So I was worried about the wide portion.. but I had no issue with it. My toes or heels didn’t rub. The greatest part about this was the way the shoe took away the implications you would get on normal ground or with regular shoes. The shoes feel like they’re keeping you from noticing the actual ground. While the shoe may be pressing into the ground, your feet are not pressing with them. It gives you the impression that your legs are moving but your feet are stable. And I really love that!! Because it’s taking away the work your feet would normally do to keep up with moving with the ankle and legs.. and keep up with moving with itself. The only thing working while you’re walking in these shoes is from the ankle up. It doesn’t even feel like I need to sit down. Standing is relaxing and balanced. I ran in them to see if the shoes would come off, they didn’t! I tried one on with a sock and the other without to see the difference while I walked. Not much difference except the sock foot was more slippery. Considering I’ll be working the Halloween horror nights event and I’ll be standing up for so many hours I knew I needed something that wouldn’t make my frame sink into my feet when I started to get more into the night and I’ve been standing in the same spot for so long. So I got these. Love the design that I choose and love that I can just wipe them clean. I’ll let you all know the update because my first night at HHN is going to be Tuesday for preview night. And then I’ll update again after HHN is over with. So far so good!! If you view my photos.. starting from the box photo Photo 2(after the box photo) is what the shoes look like sock and no sock. Photo 3 with my sock leg raised is just showing the show from another angle. Photo 4 is the shoes from pivoted angle. Photo 5 is me showing what the shoe looks like if I let it dangle from my foot on the heel side. Just to show that even with my slim foot it doesn’t come off. Photo 6 is a front view of my foot dangling and the shoe loose. Did not come off and it also gives insight on the room and air that gets through. Photo 7 is a top view of the shoes. UPDATE: Sorry for the delay in my update! So I wore them for HHN and the biggest thing was that the shoes don’t do well on unleveled terrain. Like a road or pavement that’s not completely leveled. The shoes also get hot… so during the day my feet were hot, but at night I was in heaven because it was cold. Because I’m used to normal shoes, these shoes needed some getting used to in terms of the flatness. Normal shoes reach up into your arch and curvature. These shoes remain in a flat position so your foot is pressing down into them like it would if walking on hardwood floors. It’s a weird mix up because it feels good but when you take the shoes off, your feet are sore because of the adjustment happening to your feet. I don’t recommend wearing these right away for hours at a time like I did. Standing for hours at a time in a new shoe that requires different flexing of the foot should be done in small increments. Like if you are walking around your house tidying or doing dinner. That way you can slowly train your foot to recognize what you’re walking and standing in. I think my soreness was coming from the hours of standing and moving around I did at a theme park with different ground types and levels. Just be mindful and take all of that into consideration. Overall, the shoes are great and they helped me! Definitely recommend!!

12 hour shifts in the ER approved!
When I first started my nursing career about 10 years ago I wore danskos, but had gotten away from them and mostly wore tennis shoes. I recently decided to give them a try again and was greatly impressed! I wear a size 8/8.5 and ordered the 38 and they fit perfectly! I do have narrow feet so I am not sure how they would fit with wide feet. After wearing for a couple weeks the insole sort of molds to your feet. They have a firm sole, proving quality support for long 12 hour shifts on your feet. I work in a busy ER and to me these are more comfortable than most high dollar tennis shoes. Although relatively expensive, they are very durable/lightweight and seem to last for a long time. I absolutely love the color and have gotten countless compliments on them at work. I also love that you can wear them with all scrub colors. I will say after wearing for several months they do get scuffs in them, but honestly I don’t know what shoe wouldn’t in the fast paced environment that I work. I will definitely be ordering another pair!

Beautifully made shoes. Highly recommend.
I love my new Danskos! I received them today and tried them on right away. They do run a little on the larger side and I ordered a wide so they feel big but they are so comfy I want to keep them. Regular width would have been just fine but to not have to break a pair in is too much to resist. So far this is the best pair yet and look so professional. Can wear to work, casually or with dress slacks. I'll wear them around the house to make sure they stay on my feet but I have a feeling these will become my favorite shoe ever! Quality is unmatched. Fast shipping too! Highly recommend.

Most comfortable shoes I own
These are the most comfortable shoes I own, and I love them! I rank them right up there with a good pair of running shoes. I was hesitant at first, but after reading the reviews before purchasing, I had to give them a try. I am normally a solid size 10 in most brands. I found the few Dansko shoes I have purchased, size 41 (10.5 - 11) fits me best due to the nerve issues in my toes. When these shoes arrived and I pulled them out of the box, my initial reaction was these are not flexible, hard and the heel is too loose. I will never wear them. I put them back in the box and started to read more comments and one comment stood out to me is these are 'clogs' and the heal is supposed to be loose. The heal is there to gain better acceptance for most jobs. Then I remembered wearing true clogs as a teen and remembered how I loved them. I put both shoes on and walked around the house. They didn't flop on my feet and my foot didn't slip out. I was also surprised that I didn't feel the need to scrunch my toes to keep them on. I was also concerned with the 'stiffness' thinking I would stomp around, but the rocking style of the sole helps your ankle pivot when you walk, and I wasn't stomping. The arch support is perfect. I decided to keep them and wear them to work on a jean Friday. Now I want to buy more colors. They are not the most attractive for office environment, but I am at the point that when shoes cause your feet to burn and hurt, they have to go. These are extremely comfortable and are now my favorite pair of shoes. I bought the Saddle full grain. The color is perfect for jeans.

Pretty color, true to size
I've always seen senior nurses wear these at work and thought it was about time I tried em! I have higher arches, and heard these were a good fit. I tried them out for a few shifts. Great for stability and ease of use. Unfortunately I could not tolerate several 12 hour shifts in them. They are my go-to slip on shoe though!

Sturdy & Comfy
Dansko is my go-to every day shoe. I used to be on my feet often for work, and these were a godsend to handle long stretches of walking on concrete. They're sturdy, supportive, conform well to your foot shape, and give you a nice, sure grip on slippy surfaces. Now that I've moved on to a more stationary position, I still prefer my Danskos over any other shoe. They're just awesome and well made.

Have Been Buying For 20 Years - They Last 12-18 Months For Me
This is year 20 for me wearing Dansko professional oiled leather clogs with full backs. I did a detour with backless clogs for my last pair but they are not as roomy, your foot slides down more for some reason, and for me they were not as comfortable. What I have learned about these clogs which are sized European is that I had to go up a size. I am normally a 9 wide and I wear a size 40. I learned this by trying on these clogs in person and now that I know it, I accept it and am not complaining. Actually before my first pregnancy I was an 8 - 38, then after baby one moved up to 8.5 - 39 and then after baby two I landed and stayed at 9 - 40 for the last 14 years. If you have never worn these before I highly recommend you try them on in person first. I love the "box toe" and that I can move my toes around inside the shoe. It is imperative that you wear the same thickness of sock when trying them on vs. wearing them daily. If you normally wear a medium sock and you switch to a thin sock these will feel huge and you will slip around. If you put on a thick sock they will be tight and uncomfortable. So stick with one sock type! I have "Morton's Toe" or "Greek foot" where the second toe is longer than the first. I have a really hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. Perhaps this is why I wear one size up in Dansko, I am not sure. A tip: when you find that the your feet start to get sore from standing too long, on the soles of your feet, it may be that the shoes are worn out. I find that after 12-18 months of daily wear of one pair of clogs that they are smashed down in the cushion part of the shoe and need replacing. This happens to mine before the sole is worn out or before the uppers are all ruined or unsightly. I usually own just one pair or two at a time and wear them every single day. For most years I wore them year round but now that I moved to Houston I am in sandals six months a year. I have never worn shoe inserts inside the clogs. I rate this 5 stars = I Love Them.
